（中央社記者蔡和穎台北15日電）大選落幕，親民黨宋林配獲得36萬9588票，未達法定總統副總統選舉經費補貼門檻，登記參選時繳交的新台幣1500萬元保證金，也因得票數不足選舉人總數5%，依法將不予發還。
當選的中國國民黨正副總統候選人馬英九及吳敦義，依得票數初步估算將可獲約2億673萬餘元；民主進步黨候選人蔡英文及蘇嘉全可獲1億8280萬餘元；2組候選人也得領回當初繳交的1500萬元保證金。
中央選舉委員會秘書長鄧天祐今天表示，中選會將在19日召開委員會議，審定第13任總統副總統選舉及第8屆立法委員當選人名單，同時也將公布總統立委選舉候選人及政黨競選費用補貼金額。
總統副總統選舉罷免法規定，各組候選人選舉得票數達當選票數1/3以上者，應補貼其競選費用，每票補貼30元，最高額不得超過中選會公布的正副總統同組候選人競選經費最高金額4億2463萬4000元，政黨推薦候選人補貼費用應由推薦政黨領取。
親民黨總統副總統候選人宋楚瑜及林瑞雄則因得票數未達馬吳配當選票數的1/3，因此依法無法獲得競選經費補貼，也因得票數不足選舉人總數5%，保證金將無法發還。
政黨補助金部分，公職人員選舉罷免法規定，全國不分區及僑居國外國民立法委員選舉政黨得票率達5%以上者，應補貼該政黨競選費用，每年每票補貼50元。
根據中選會公布全國不分區及僑居國外國民選舉結果，國民黨得票率44.5465%，民進黨34.6178%，台聯8.9566%，親民黨5.486%，都跨越政黨補助門檻可獲補貼。
初步估算，國民黨將可獲補助約2.9億餘元，民進黨可獲約2.3億餘元，親民黨可得約3600萬元，台聯黨可獲5900萬元。

According to the info above and according to the Taiwanese CEC (Central Electoral Committee - equivalent to Elections Department) briefings I attended years ago as a member of international electoral observation group. The law specified a provision for state to subsidise electoral candidates and parties in their political campaign expenses. For parliamentary election, each candidate who won at least 5% of votes get NT$50 per year for each vote won, to assist the politicians to run their political campaigns.

I had not attended any Taiwanese CEC briefings on Presidential Election, but according to the article above, presidential candidates gets NT$30 per vote won provided their vote is not lower than 33%. There are also equivalent subsidies for other elections such as county magistrates and mayors and city council and even village level elections.

On the exact and strongest contrary the famiLEE LEEgime in Singapore implemented notorious Political Donation Act to kerb opposition politicians from getting a decent campaign funded by their own supporters & electorates. And under the law anything above S$5000 get eaten by that state, and if not declared the candidate will be disqualified for 5 years.

Needless to say, the corrupt selfish and coward famiLEE LEEgime ought to be punished for legislating against the common principal and practise in their wicked schemes to keep themselves in power. This is just an example feature of famiLEE LEEgime rules.

李光耀說，最令他感到不解的是宋楚瑜。他引述最近台灣的一些民意調查結果說，馬英九和蔡英文競選支持度都在三成以上，而宋楚瑜只有約百分之十五。
李光耀說：「我不明白他為什麼認為本身可以追上另外二人。他所能起到的作用，就是奪去馬英九的選票，比奪走蔡英文的票來得多。」
李光耀認為，雖然中國大陸非常關注台灣的政治發展，但對台灣的總統選舉其實發揮不了多大的影響。他還說，台灣無論是誰當選總統，都難以改變台灣最終將與大陸統一的結局。
對於李光耀的評論，親民黨發言人李桐豪昨天說，「這是他的個人意見，親民黨無從評論。」李桐豪認為這是李光耀對外國政治的觀察，「如同我們也會觀察別國的政治生態，只希望新加坡人不會干涉台灣的內政。」

King heads off feared Malaysia violence

Malaysia's king has headed off a potentially violent confrontation of protest groups on the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

An Australian observer, Professor Clive Kessler, told Radio Australia's Connect Asia program the country had "stepped back from the brink" with the royal intervention.

In a rare intervention in politics, sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin called on an electoral reform group, Bersih, to call off a street protest.

Bersih's plans to hold anti-government protests on Saturday had stirred other groups, including the ruling UMNO party, to say that they would hold counter rallies - raising fears of possible riots.

After an audience with the king, Bersih, the Coalition for Free and Fair Election, has decided to hold the weekend march in a stadium, allaying fears of chaos.

Professor Kessler, from the University of NSW, says it was "a remarkable intervention".

"The last two weeks in Malaysia have been astounding and gripping and all one can say is that Malaysia has, at least for the moment, stepped back from the brink," he said from Kuala Lumpur.

He says the calling out of other groups in counter-rallies came after the government refused to sanction the Bersih march.

"The government basically said no and authorised the use of violence by surrogate, by vigilante groups, against the marchers and was pleading in advance self-defence in doing so," he said.

"In other words, blaming the Bersih sympathisers and Bersih for the violence that was to be unleashed upon them, and that was a terrifying prospect."

After complicated negotiations, the Bersih group agreed to meet in a stadium in Shah Alam, the state capital a little outside Kuala Lumpur.

"The march is officially off, but a very large number of people can be expected to attend the [rally] since it's no longer forbidden. It now has royal blessing," Professor Kessler said.

I urge Singaporeans to learn and be clear about Rights & Ability, or the rather Rights vs Ability.

Confusion between the 2 is very bad.

Rights is a logical matter, Ability is a physical. Difference is big here.

If you are on your death bed, lost 99% of your ability, you will still have 100% of your rights as long as the rest in this world still respect your rights. You would even have your rights as a DEAD MAN totally with zero ability, as long as the others would uphold your rights for you.

If you had your physical Ability to enforce and guard your what is rightfully yours, it is a very different thing, because you don't need to depend on any others to uphold your own Rights, and if any of them violated your Rights, you physically put them to the places they belong.

As activists we help people by inspiring them and encouraging them to acquire their physical Abilities to empower themselves, to guard their own logical rights.

When people's Rights had been violated and compromised / undermined, helplessly, that means they lack the ability to uphold and guard their own Rights, or defending against the violators.

Hence talking about Rights in these cases is just merely Account the amount of losses suffered at the most, if you just merely talk about Rights. By that we know that the violators will only continue to exploit, unless your talks alone can stop them via embarrassment. If that is the case it is too easy, and these lucky people don't really need any activists to do anything.

In most cases, if you really want to Reclaim the losses suffered, you really need quite some Physical Ability, that is whatever form of Damages, Pressure, Pain, Losses, Distress, Hurt, Death etc you can cause to the violators to defend your violated Rights.

Talks are cheap. And most likely not very helpful.

Because in the 1st place the violators did not accidentally violated people rights, they calculated and prepared and intentionally / purposefully did it.

They neglected and disrespected and violated the people's right for their own gains, in most cases.

It is not final - as far as Thais are concerned especially.

There are many possibilities depending on weather the other camp accept this result or not:

They may go to court citing frauds and cheating. Demand to void this result.
They may find fault with legitimacy of candidate Yingluck & the party.
They may initiate a military coupe against this poll out come.
They may initiate a Yellow Shirt Campaign to oust Yingluck.

None of the above is new, they had all happened before.

Very narrow and limited minds of Singaporeans may not be able to cope with the such reality like Thailand. Which is sad for Singaporeans not the Thais.

I can safely state that even if Abhisit won this poll, his position isn't final unless Red Shirt gave up. They did it before, they can do again, any time, deaths isn't stopping them.

This is what I call vigour & persistent political spirit. Defiance against arbitrary (alien) un-native system and political culture - aka election system. This is something that Thai people are respectable about.

They don't blindly follow rules and system, especially western (foreign) political culture. They know their own interest, and they won't compromise their interest, just to respect a foreign system. Their own historic political system is feudalism dynasty, they love their king - but this is beside the point.

The point is, and on the contrary to Thais in SG, our peasants will blindly follow any system imposed on them, weather it is from LEEgime or remained from previous colonial masters. Unlike Singaporeans, Thais gives priority to their own interest and own tradition, and most importantly - own NEEDS, the Election System (foreign political tradition) is secondary (and experimental) to them. They will try to conduct election and see if that can solve their problems or not, if it does not, they will retract back to their own traditional ways.

On the other hand, Singaporeans just constantly seek rules to follow, and without rules, Singaporeans are at total lost! And they start to complain that "OMG! There is no rule, no system!" If LEEgime did not impose a system to rule them in certain aspects, they will comply with any foreign system or rule especially Western - BLINDLY! Even when they had made themselves total suckers, they will still suck on, happily feeling satisfied and secure - sucking.

It is actually an overall issue of Singaporean Water Resources - Previously Yaacob's Ministry and now in the hands of Vivian Balakrisnan. But these 2 minister are not real sources of problems. It was Old Dog Thief's notorious BIG MOUTH during the era of Tun Dr M as Malaysian PM.

It was during one of Old Dog Lee Kuan Yew's typical bragging sessions in which he started Singapore's Water Resources Crisis. He did it by bragging how creative and resourceful he is for Singapore a tiny island that don't even have sufficient water resources, he boasted that he had been MAKING MONEY OUT OF SELLING WATER back to Malaysia with huge lucrative profits while buying cheaply from Malaysia @ only 3 Malaysian cents per 1000 gallons. That was Precisely and Directly where the whole series of interrelated and interconnected issues had arisen till today's non-stop flooding and drowning death.

During the decade that past since Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew's Egoistic bragging until present, the Originally Non-existence crisis began from his Notorious Big Mouth, to provoking the anguish and protesting of Malaysian citizens against Tun Dr. M who was then LKy's favourite Golf Partner, to sour bilateral relationship between two brotherly countries, to the Malaysian demands to hike water supplies prices, to the Childish Idea of NeWATER aka Sai-Chwee aka Air Jamban, to the sealing of MOUTHS OF SINGAPORE & KALLANG RIVERS by the notorious Marina Barrage, making the Marina Reservoir which contour is the same as female reproduction organs, and the COMPARATIVE RISING OF SEA LEVEL leading to floods affecting Singaporeans island-wide. Then causing the death of the drowned boy who was washed away boy flood water into the canal.

That was the outline of the whole path of Singaporean Water Resources Crisis that transpired for a decade or more.

What I had called COMPARATIVE RISING OF SEA LEVEL is the effect Equivalent to an actual rise of sea level around Singapore, in view of tremendous Hydrological Effects to all the drainage canals and natural water bodies on our island. I am referring to storage level in the Marina Reservoir & the Barrage's blockage preventing discharge of rain water into the sea, and raising water level during natural rainfall in our drainage system island-wide which are connected to the Marina Reservoir which had been nicknamed The CB by Netizens due to the physical outline profile of the reservoir resembling women's worm virginal and ovaries in the anatomic view.

The Kallang and Singapore Rivers covers the majority of Singapore's central consisting of business and residential areas, connected by a huge network of canals & drainage system and together they converged into the Marina Reservoir. Being blocked by the Marina Barrage no water from the entire central areas of Singapore can be naturally discharged into the sea and are captured as part of Singapore's water resources. This makes up the inadequacy, as the famiLEE LEEgime false-claimed NeWATER ALONE can make Singapore Self-Sufficient. Currently entire Singapore's catchment, plus Sea Water Desalination, plus NeWATER, plus water supplied by Malaysia is consumed by a population level which famiLEE LEEgime wants blindly to increase up to 6.5 million from 4 million.

Each meter of water level rising in Marina Reservoir will be coupled through all of Singapore & Kallang Rivers and their brunches and their connected canals and culverts and drains, seen as water level rise and reduction in their effective capacities. This effect is Similar with High Tide or Risen Sea Level - except that only the catchment areas and not the coastal areas gets affected.

In summery it began more than a decade ago from a notorious Big Mouth, to produce an otherwise non-existence Water Resources Crisis of Singapore, to the Barraged Mouths of our main rivers, to the Marina CB, to the floods, to the losses and death by drowning. That is the FULL Picture one must see. It should not be seen as isolated or unrelated issues, they are all one of the same.

Singaporeans.. Norminate ALL the remaining GRCs! Stand Up for SG!

I am priming an effort to see all remaining uncontested seats to get nomination. This is very strategic and I am asking Singaporean voters to all do your parts. The points as follows:

Voters get to go to poll. No more walking over. There are many late-Singaporeans who died in this country without any chance to touch a ballot a single time in entire lifetime. This is sad. We are not going to let this continue in Singapore further please. No nomination means walkover, and voters rights are all written off. There is also no figure to measure anything all the while, and PAp cliams that they have mandate and high support. When there is a poll then there is result to measure up LEEgime. Voters will be very happy to have chance to vote, even if there were no rallies or other campaigns, so just nominate the otherwise walkover seats.

Engaged LEEgime's Election Machine FULLY. Tie up their resources, tie up their time and bandwidth, let the tense be felt to maximum extend. In PAp, they have to get all the dogs to work OT, they have to spend, they have to walk constituencies, logistics, they have to let HDB and Town Council do extra hardworks. The Election Dept will get stretched to maximum, needs to print ballots and boxes and documents, need many presiding officers, counting officers, prepare poll and counting stations, need many mata, vehicles, schools, equipments, computers, need to spend millions more.

The above also limits the possible polling dates, mostly delayed further.

Strategic Diversion. Instead of let them focus on hot contested areas, pull their hind legs, and applies pains from elsewhere behind. Much harder for them to fight. Let them feel the fire from every angle and all sides. Too many issues and angles, they are one LEEgime, if they take position one way to counter one SMC opponent it will suffer draw back from another GRC when different candidate confront them the other ways. Oppositions don't have to all come from same angle, but LEEgime ought to, if they don't they are considered to be splitting and in self-conflict.

Reduce LEEgime's bandwidth to help each other, in the past their walked over ministers help their hot contested areas like Cheng San GRC and so on. If you set fire on each and every of their own backyard, they won't be so free to assist battles in other wards any longer. ;) So? File Nomination Papers Singaporeans! When they are not helping each other they will also be blaming each other for scoring own goals, you already saw these. It will only be worst! ;)

Strategic advantage, Chinese call this 四两拨千斤。 When there is no 3 corner, 100% deposit will be secured, we need not incur any extra expenses at all, just nominate. And the LEEgime have to spend millions more and do many many times more. There is an enormous strategic advantage here. Nothing to lose, much to gain. When they feel the stress and strain, the fight becomes easy on our side, our originally disadvantaged position will be returned.

Advantage in numbers, there are things that even very well experienced election fighters had neglected. I take for example, the national TV election message broadcasting is given to all parties and even independent candidates on entity basis, even the tiny guys apart from political parties can get air time to speak to voters. In many circumstance entire LEEgime must only be counted as 1 in the contest, tiny contestant also 1, it is high advantage against them.

A flexible spare pool of candidates and contesting area, like a gel, there are many candidates who are unable to form a complete team, there are parties which have excess or shortage of candidates, there are many difficulties in sorting out 3 corner areas, there are candidates crossing over party lines in every GE. When there is an organized measure to nominate remaining uncontested GRCs, it acts very well like a sponge. Excess candidates can shift over here, and shortage can be filled from here, like a pool.

I want to point out one advantage LEEgime has over opposition that is they are single party, thus they can centralize allocation of candidates and constituencies. Opposition's mechanism of negotiating areas, and pooling candidates are very poor and self-defeating, this must be changed. If there is no better mechanism worked out, strong disadvantage will persist here in every GE. In the very 1st place, I think opposition must 1st craft out these GRCs like Tg Pargar AMK Marine Parade to be utilized like a pool and managed by group or persons who are non member of any party. They need to do this step before listing up seats that are interested by each party, that means, there are 3 categories of seats, No-Party interested, Single Party interested, and multi-corner seats.

It is too obvious now, that we have more than 87 interested candidates, while having still so many multi-corner areas and several GRC may walkover. It is simply a scenario of poor organization and cooperation. A laughingstock for oppositions in other countries. :(

I must point out again that in other countries, they solved this kind of problems a long time ago, with well established mechanism such as Primary Elections. Primary Elections are held within each party before they decide the parties candidates. We should also take reference with other countries where they have some less formal mechanisms to resolve contention between parties.

Socialist Front's Press Statement is the best illustration of the scenario, Mr. Chia told us that they have the GRC team manpower but lack the resources to run a credible campaign. Therefore they are not entering the contest. This is however the BEST EVER EXCEPTION in Singaporean history that they are so noble in refraining from 3 corner fights for the better of Singapore overall instead of just considering for their own party. They are going that far by a party resolution against own Chairman.

While I totally respect SF principal and desire of a good campaign, I like to see their candidates nominated for the contest to fill the uncontested seats, and I am willing to help any such parties go through hurdles. I suggest that opposition will allow members to nominate as independents to just fill the uncontested seats, and do so even without putting up a costly campaign. This way, the only necessity is nominators and deposit funds.

I like to point out that deposit funds are indeed very safe this GE, especially when there is no multi-corner fight, and candidate are not doing anything strongly negative to piss off voters. I urge those Singaporeans who want to vote and can afford to loan money as candidate deposits to come out. All you need to do is to pay it at Ministry Of Finance at Treasury Building,100 High St, Singapore 179434 , I think 9th floor, you need not even go personally, let them know that you are depositing for GE, and specify the candidate, fill the form and they will give you receipt for your money. You get back your full refund like a week after poll, as long as candidate gets at least 12.5%.

Eliminating Muli-Corners. This is an important factor in eliminating multi-corner, because the candidates who don't have a complete team to contest in any GRC, can pool up to nominate at uncontested GRC instead of going into multi-corner fighting.

Think for your voters! Why let LEEgime walkover in these GRCs and voters got no chance to go to poll on polling day, and on the other hand, in these SMCs these voters got 2 opposition candidates and have to ponder which one to vote for. Is this how Singaporean opposition parties treat the voters? Come on! It only means disappointment to our voters. Don't do this!

To be frank as a voter myself, I would be very disappointed either to have no chance to vote or have a 3 corner ballot to make me choose one opposition. I am even fed-up to see this going on although it does not look like it's happening to the ward I live in. Put yourself into the shoes of voters, are you happy to see this?

He looked like anyone might after being pulled out of a bunker after 12 days: a little haggard, bags beneath his eyes, like he hadn’t taken a shower in a while. But the capture of Ivory Coast’s former president Laurent Gbagbo was anything but routine, and whether this country will be able to bounce back from the depths of violence, propaganda and hate that he dragged it into is anything but certain.

Hours after finally taking control of the country, President Alassane Ouattara said a Truth and Reconciliation Commission would investigate accusations of atrocities against civilians by both sides. He called for calm and urged militias to disarm. “Our country has turned a painful page in its history,” he said in an evening address broadcast on both television and radio.

Mr. Ouattara cut short speculation of an international criminal prosecution against his rival and announced that an investigation would be opened on Mr. Gbagbo, his wife and their entourage. He assured them that they would receive a fair trial.

A message from Mr. Gbagbo in custody had been broadcast earlier, calling for an end to fighting.

Since winning the presidential election last November, Mr. Ouattara has had the support of the international community behind him, but no amount of diplomatic or financial pressure could convince Mr. Gbagbo to cede power.

In order for Mr. Ouattara to assume office, he would need two rounds of aerial bombardments by United Nations and French helicopters, as well as the assistance of a French armoured column, which secured the area around Mr. Gbagbo’s residence Monday morning before Mr. Ouattara’s men came to arrest him.

Mr. Gbagbo’s advisers say French special forces entered the compound and orchestrated the arrest, something that French military and government officials vehemently deny.

What’s certain is that French military support was essential to finishing this 19-week standoff for the president’s office, and Mr. Ouattara will have a very difficult time convincing the 46 per cent that voted for his opponent that he isn’t a Western stooge.

“[Mr. Ouattara] didn’t want to come to power this way, through the barrel of a gun,” said Richard Downie, an Africa expert at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. “He was elected fairly and freely. But this is the situation he was dealt. It’s going to be incredibly difficult for him to bring the country together.”

Even after images of Mr. Gbagbo and his wife, Simone, in custody were broadcast on television, the people of Abidjan didn’t descend into the streets in celebration.

“There’s been too much fighting, there are too many armed men still in the streets,” said Idrissa Ouedraogo, a resident of the pro-Ouattara Adjame neighbourhood. “We need to wait to make sure these men have been captured before any party can begin.”

Last month, on the four-month anniversary of his election, Mr. Ouattara gave up on diplomacy. His forces swept down from the northern half of the country and quickly advanced hundreds of kilometres and conquered dozens of cities meeting very little resistance. But their attack ground to a halt on the edge of Abidjan, where Mr. Gbagbo’s most hard core and loyal fighters were stationed with the tanks, machine guns and mortars they had been using to terrorize the civilian population.

Two weeks of fighting in the country’s biggest and most strategically important city has left its scars.

The twisted wreckages of burned cars and the deformed security grills of looted storefronts run on for kilometres.

Corpses littered the sides of the main boulevards, some of them charred by makeshift cremation. A pair of legs protruded from a dumpster in the downtown business core, an image that would be almost comical if it weren’t so gruesome.

Hundreds of destitute civilians carrying buckets formed lines at gas stations and any other place where they could find water. Gunmen still guarded the two bridges that link the northern and southern halves of the city. They stopped passing vehicles looking for Frenchmen.

More than 1 million people have fled the fighting and at least 500 people had been killed before the Mr. Ouattara’s advance even began. Those who have died since might never be counted.

Rights groups say the majority of those killed were supporters of Mr. Ouattara targeted by Mr. Gbagbo’s heavily armed security forces in the lower-class neighbourhoods of Abidjan. In one incident, eight unarmed women were shot down at a demonstration with a 50-calibre machine gun. The bullet casings are as big as empty toilet paper rolls.

Shortly afterwards, at least 25 people were killed when a busy marketplace was shelled with 81-mm mortars.

“Laurent Gbagbo has been credibly implicated in crimes against humanity and other atrocities for which he should be held to account,” said Daniel Bekele, the Africa director of Human Rights watch. “He should not be granted a golden exile in a country that would shield him from national or international prosecution.”

But Mr. Gbagbo’s troops aren’t the only ones who should be investigated, he said, citing evidence of a mass grave containing more than 100 bodies in the west of the country. Human Rights Watch reported that Mr. Ouattara’s forces were behind it and other atrocities in the west of the country.

“To end over a decade of abuse and impunity, Mr. Ouattara’s new government needs to ensure that all those responsible for the crimes that have characterized this painful period of Côte d’Ivoire’s history face fair justice, regardless of their rank or political allegiance,” Mr. Bekele said.

The European Union lifted its sanctions preventing ships from docking at Ivory Coast’s ports and doing business with some of it's major companies, setting the stage for an economic recovery.

More than 100,000 tonnes of cocoa beans are waiting to be exported after a two-month ban, which could bring a much-needed injection of cash into the economy.

But as the French armoured column returned to base Monday night, their mission accomplished, gunfire still rung out through the city.

Ivory Coast may have had help in toppling its strongman, but Mr. Ouattara will almost surely have to go it alone rebuilding the trust, the rule of law and the economy that this country needs.

Five turning points in the four-month aftermath of Ivory Coast’s presidential election

1. Ivory Coast’s election commission announces on Dec. 2, 2010, that former premier Alassane Ouattara won the Nov. 28 runoff presidential election with 54.1 per cent of the vote comparied with 45.9 per cent for incumbent Laurent Gbagbo.

2. The Constitutional Council, run by an ally of Mr. Gbagbo, rejects the results as rigged and declares Mr. Gbagbo as the winner on Dec. 3. The UN, however, endorses Mr. Ouattara’s win.

3. Mr. Gbagbo refuses to cede power or leave the presidential palace, but Mr. Ouattara has himself sworn in as president and begins appointing ministers and ambassadors from his headquarters of Abidjan’s seaside Golf Hotel as forces loyal to each begin to wage gun battles.

4. Mr. Gbagbo begins negotiating his surrender after pro-Outtara forces overtake much of the country and French forces under UN authority carry out strikes against his troops on April 4. But this proves to be a delaying tactic, allowing him to barricade himself in a bunker on the grounds of the presidential palace as his forces to regroup.

5. With help again from French forces, troops loyal to Mr. Ouattara storm the bunker April 11, and arrest Mr. Gbagbo and his wife.

To be frank and practical one can not get TOO GREEDY in Reforming own country. There are limitations that you can not over come, so you can only do within what is still possible.

I congratulated the Ivory Coast’s people for the fact that they secured their future by affirming a CHANGE or REFORM, by getting rid of people they ought to rid and PUNISH. They already captured their ex-president a corrupted dictator. That is already many steps ahead of us Singaporeans. I must congratulate them.

There are limitations on the replacement available within their country at this time, they have to accept this. We are just the exactly same as well in this aspect.

What is achieve so far, and with the price paid so far, is they can be confidently sure, and sufficiently experienced that they can remove a corrupted long ruling dictator with force and paying the necessary price. That means in the future they can do just the same again. Aka round 2 round 3 ... as far as necessary. They are no longer stuck in a permanently ruling greedy and corrupted dictatorship.

Things are of course not yet perfect, but they have been able to move forward. That is way better than us.

It is impractical and naive indeed if Reformist or People expected on-single-step-to-PERFECTION straight reform. There is no such thing at all. Things moves forward a step at a time and you only get not more than the price you had paid for.

Some times things may even seemed worst in some aspects after the initial steps or reform, you have to be patient and understand what is to be expected. You can not be myopic.

In our case, if we could rid LEEgime and captured the key bastards after paying the necessary price, it is a great leap forward already. And certainly like the people of Ivory Coast, we also lack any ideal replacement. The replacements are very limited, and inexperience, and we may not even trust or like them. It is a fact! We have reached a scenario that if we don't rid LEEgime, we are totally out of control of OUR country, we rid them then at least we got back the most basic rights - the control. With that we have got to appreciate the achievement and the necessary price, instead of being inpatient and greedy.

If we expected heaven after just pushing a few steps, then we are just being impractical, naive and immature like a little spoil brat - admittedly we have too many of such spoil brats in SG. They are burdens to reform and progress among many other important things.

May be you belong to the group that gave an overly high value to blood. I won't agree to these, and there is no point to argue. Fact remains that BLEEDING had been the necessary battery juice of political changes that SHAPED the entire world. There are just some naive and kind people in the recent century to believe that world can be shaped / changed / reformed so ideally without bleeding.

I strongly think that these people are wrong unacceptable and needs to be corrected. Then after the colonists had done sufficient exploitations and conquering, they started to spread their own hypocratic Obscurantism through religious missions and (seriously flawed) education. They aren't aware that they caused global population to explode so quickly within just only decades. A crisis that men had never faced, in entire history counting like 12000 years back. In the eco system there is FOOD CHAIN, and bleeding is a standard phenomena of feeding within natural food chain. Stupid human have no idea nor capability but nevertheless tried to modify the system, just to indulge themselves to enjoy their own spiritual satisfaction - which itself is unique only to men, to be indeed a flaw / defect / malfunction, non-existence in any other known forms of lives, which is causing the mass-extinction of entire globe of lives.

In natural world life is a battle for survival every min. Men self-deceived and indulged themselves that they could or desire to live without any suffering or face death or bleeding. You read your own post! You expect to change power and balance painlessly and cheaply, you are indulging yourself and falsely believing in this arbitrary and unnatural way to be the norm. This is only installed in your mind via flawed education & obscurantism!

On this planet, human used to be food to animals like tigers / lions / snakes / sharks etc. in caveman's era.. but we changed that, now we are eating these animals to extinction. This is a drastic change of power and alteration of food chain. The process is not only painfully long, it took high price including huge amount of blood and sufferings and bears lots huge consequences, and it is not necessarily right nor natural.

If you want political power to change, and believed that ballots is the only way to change, your minds are already corrupted and poisoned by Obscurantism and, you are tightly limited, you are wrong, your success is unnatural and not expected to sustain even if achieved.

Fortunately, people from Ivory Coast, Libya & many other places are still able to do things without following limitations of obscurantism. If human had the chance to continue to exist for many more centuries, I think the mistakes of these obscurantism, will subside itself via and conforming the natural rule of survival, and selection.

I am not interested to argue the morality or any arbitrary concepts of Rights etc.

My point on the process of reform is this - for a country under a corrupted dictatorship, where power is gripped firmly and then past to successors or within family tree, the very first step is to have a breakthrough apart from the power grip. Weather or not with any ideal replacement is really secondary. Reformist and people must not be confused between long & short term objectives of the reform.

It is absolutely not the right idea here, that the immediate lack of ideal replacement could meant that we continue to keep the existing corrupt bastards' regime. We must firstly secure our rights and power to replace and punish the greedy bastards, and then further ensure that similar efforts will continue into the future. And only after some time, we can have hope for clean and upright leaders to rise for the country.

Using the example of Ivory Coast, weather they have a clean and upright new president or not is a longer term issue, for the fight and the capturing of the deposed president, it is a significant breakthrough - that people are now sure that they have this control over their own country, that corrupted dictator can be caught and punished by the people. And therefore, if there was ANY corrupted dictator after this one, the assurance that the people enjoy from now on, is to be able to grab the bastards and shoot them!

To ensure that the future presidents are clean is a longer term efforts, which comes after the initial breakthrough. Weather you have to grab and shoot 1 or 10 more bastards, it may be either you future duty as citizens, or the duties of your grandchildren.

In the longer term, in a country that corrupted greedy dictators are always punished by people, the chance stands better for upright and clean president to rise which COULD ONLY COME AFTER the corrupted greedy bastards had been shoot and sunken by the strength of the people.

SINGAPORE - Amid growing election fever, Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng yesterday turned up the heat on the Opposition by questioning their motivation to contest and win a Group Representation Constituency (GRC).

Without naming any Opposition figures, Mr Wong alluded to earlier comments by Opposition leaders Low Thia Khiang and Chiam See Tong, who had spoken of the need for their parties to make a breakthrough by winning a GRC in the coming General Election.

Said Mr Wong: "If you ask why the Opposition want to win a constituency, I think the intention is quite clear. Some of them say: 'We want to do that for renewal', others say they want to be the first one to break through into a GRC and win the GRC.'"

He added: "But what is this election about? Is it about the interests and ambitions of political parties and individual interest to create a legacy and make history? That is what voters should ask themselves."

The Hard Truth for Ah Seng is that voters wish to see opposition Win GRC to REMOVE UNWANTED MINISTER such as himself. His thick skin refused to quit after MSK & other scandals under his incompetent charge.

The Harder Truth for Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew is that, the exact same wish applies even more for this old fart to be removed. As his thicker skin also refused to quit after not one but TWO Generation of his famiLEE ruled this red dot against the will of angry and disappointed citizens.

The more civilized way is to vote them out for removal, the other ways include what happened recently in Tunisia; Egypt & Libya.

The not-so-hard-truth for Singaporean opposition frankly, is that it is relatively less important for voters to want any particular of them in the parliament, in comparison against the Real Pressing Need of Removal of Unwanted Ministers. Voting in this sense is more important to REMOVE UNWANTED MINISTER rather than bringing in opposition MPs. This is sincere truth and no offense intended.

I wish the opposition have courage to take these hard truths and tell it to the world, tell it to LEEgime, tell it to the voters.

Singaporeans should learn from the Egyptians & Tunesians their experience

Whatever their outcomes may be, they stood up and fight for a better national future, they should be proud. Their efforts and experience are going to be valuable to the billions of oppressed and exploited people in this world, in particular Singaporeans. And Singaporeans will have to learn both from the positive and negative angles and compare what these people did against what was done by others in this world, e.g. Thais, Taiwanese, Ukrainians, etc. A huge amount of dos and don't can be learned from every such campaigns. What prices did the people paid and what result did they secured. These knowledge will be useful in our own calculations and plannings. ;)

Everyone must had made mistakes, and did something creative or extraordinary or commendable, so via these different angles Singaporeans as a people of a young country can benefit from experience of these people who had put up their fights and paid their prices. Universities not limited to Political Science faculty can make studies into these mass civil movements. Activists can do case study & workshop of it. LEEgime can chew on it and try to calculate your own new position. ;-)

Mubarak holds crisis talks at presidency: TV

CAIRO: Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was holding crisis talks with senior officials at the presidency, state television reported on Saturday, as mass riots demanding his ouster entered their fifth day.

"President Mubarak is now holding an important meeting with officials at the presidency," TV reported.

Earlier, at least three people were killed during anti-regime protests in downtown Cairo on Saturday, medics at a mobile hospital told AFP as they tended to dozens of the wounded.

Tens of thousands of protesters gathered on the central Tahrir square in defiance of a curfew and an order not to congregate during a fifth day of nationwide protests demanding that veteran President Hosni Mubarak stand down.

Egyptian police open fire on Cairo protesters

Egyptian police opened fire on a massive crowd, killing at least one demonstrator in downtown Cairo as the protests demanding the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak took another deadly turn on Saturday.

The body of a dead protester was carried on the shoulders of a chanting crowd and many others were wounded after riot police opened fire in the heart of Egypt's capital city.

Thousands of protesters are now attempting to storm the offices of the Interior Ministry as protests against Egypt's authoritarian government stretched through its fifth day.

The clash comes shortly after a government-imposed curfew went into affect at 4 p.m. local time, following a relatively peaceful day of protest.

Public demonstrations and looting continued on Saturday even as the Cabinet resigned on the orders of the president.

State television was reporting that Mubarak named a new vice-president on Saturday, choosing his intelligence chief and close confidant Omar Suleiman to the post.

It was not immediately clear how the announcement would impact public demands that Mubarak leave his post after 30 years of authoritarian rule.

Mubarak has refused to meet the protesters' demands to step but pledged to usher in political reform.

The concession did little to stem the tide, as thousands of anti-government protesters returned to central Cairo on Saturday, chanting for Mubarak to leave the country.

The protest – the largest Egypt has experienced in decades – has been prompted by anger over the country's crushing poverty, unemployment and corruption.

At least 26 protesters and 10 police officers have been killed in the clash. Security officials say the death toll is likely much higher and will adjust as hospitals and morgues report in from across the country.

Al Jazeera is reporting that at least 100 people have been killed in protests across the country.

The number of people who have been wounded is being counted in the thousands.

For five days, crowds have overwhelmed police forces in Cairo and other major cities, often accompanied by rock attacks and firebombs.

Armoured vehicles and military forces were posted overnight near government buildings and around demonstration sites such as Tahrir Square. Unlike police forces, which are loathed for their cruelty, protesters appeared to accept the military presence.

Saad Abedine, a CNN reporter posted in Cairo, told CTV News Channel protesters did not appear swayed by Mubarak's promised regime changes, insisting the crowds would not be satisfied until the president had stepped down.

"I spoke to various people yesterday right after his speech and everybody said the same thing. They don't respect him, they don't like him and they have had enough," he said.

"Everybody is shouting for one thing. It is a time for the whole system to just collapse and bring in new people, a new regime. They don't believe that the government is enough. They want the parliament to be gone, they want free elections and they want the president definitely to resign."

The military was protecting heritage sites such as the Egyptian Museum, which is home to some of the country's most treasured antiquities. The pyramids were closed to tourists on Saturday.

During the worst of the clash on Friday, protesters attacked the ruling party's headquarters, burning the facility to the ground.

In a televised address, Mubarak dismissed his Cabinet and made vague promises of social reform while accusing protesters of plotting to destabilize Egypt by destroying the legitimacy of his regime.

The address outraged protesters who stayed in the streets well into the night, chanting for an end to his three-decade of authoritarian rule.

"What we want is for Mubarak to leave, not just his government," Mohammed Mahmoud told The Associated Press. "We will not stop protesting until he goes."

Cell phone and Internet service was cut off earlier in the conflict, but reports suggested that cell phones were working Saturday morning. Internet service appeared to remain blocked, hampering protesters who used social networking sites to organize.

The situation prompted criticism from U.S. President Barack Obama, who asked Mubarek to take concrete steps to improve human rights.

Obama's government threatened to reduce its $1.5 billion foreign aid program if the Egyptian government, Washington's most important Arab ally, escalated the use of force.

Foreign affairs experts derided Mubarak's decision to dismiss his government's cabinet as shortsighted, saying that a change to his staff would not satisfy those calling for constitutional change.

Speaking from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, U.S. Senator John Kerry called for Mubarak to respond to his citizen, adding that the dismissal of his government didn't address those issues.

"I think that we have to see how things move today and, obviously, the key here is for President Mubarak to respond to the needs of his people in a way that is more directly connected to their frustrations, much more so than apparently yesterday's speech succeeded in doing," Kerry told The Associated Press.

63 years old Dilma Vana Rousseff is sworn into presidency for Brazil yesterday 1.Jan.2011, the first woman as Brazilian President. From 3 years imprisonment behind bars and being tortured with electrical shocks as a captured Guerrilla Warrior who fought to overthrow dictatorship of previous Brazilian gorvernance.

She has Marxist-Leninist background, and were member of at least 2 different Guerrilla forces including National Liberation Commandos and VAR Palmares. She was captured with arms and sent to prison (1970-1972) and tortured. She joined party politics in 1980s.

Rousseff was Chief of Staff of Brazil between 2005-2010, and Minister of Mines and Energy 2003-2005.

I think she is a representation of fighter of strong political will, fighting oppressors from the very bottom all the way to the very top.

Her success story will encourage fighters globally. :)

Ex-SLA official faces more charges as probe into his past widens

A FORMER senior official facing multiple charges of defrauding the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) to the tune of $12 million is now believed to have started his alleged crime spree much earlier in his career.

A widening probe into Koh Seah Wee's background has turned up new allegations of cheating involving $286,000 at a second statutory board. Now, the police are going even further back into his past for signs of wrongdoing on the job.

Koh, 40, who is known to have splashed out on luxury cars, condominium apartments and unit trusts, joined the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) in 1997. Over the next 11 years he was posted to various agencies, assuming positions as senior as deputy director.

The IDA sent him first to the Supreme Court, from 1997 to 2004. Next, he went to the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (Ipos), a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, from 2004 to 2007.

He was next at the SLA, from 2007 until March this year. He returned to the IDA in April, resigned the following month, and was arrested last month.

Eight new charges against him yesterday allege that he tricked Ipos into paying out $286,000 to a computer firm for goods and services that were never delivered, bringing the total number of charges against him so far to 302.

FLOOD: What is lacked in the Marina Barrage White Elephant?

The best illustration I can find is to use comparisons among existing Singaporean reservoirs.

The illustration using Upper & Lower Pierce Reservoir plus McRitchie Reservoir, indicates how dams were build on originally tiny rivers to flood up their relevant river valleys to form artificial lakes serving as reservoirs. The facts that need to be noted is that large areas were flooded and depth of water increased. The surrounding areas of these water bodies are natural areas instead of urban city. In other words in case of heavy rain fall, some amount of additional flood areas that become submerged after heavy rainfall are OK within these areas, because they are not urban city areas.

But what about Orchard Road?

The Marina Barrage's White Elephant Absolutely DID NOT designed for any additional flood area to be expanded from Singapore River & Kallang River, to hold additional water (regardless rain or shine) after the structure cut-off flow of water from these rivers into sea.

To highlight this point the best comparison is Pandang Reservoir, which dam cordoned an area which was originally the river mouth, to become reservoir. This is the area highlighted in darker blue below. It is ADDITIONAL AREA to contain water and it can hold certain amount in the in even of heavy rainfall.

This ADDITIONAL HOLDING AREA is what is TOTALLY LACKED with the Marina Barrage Project.

I will further illustrate the same point again with Kranji Reservoir as example:

Comparing against the neighboring water body the flooded up area which form the reservoir is very obvious. There is is EXPANDED AREA (and depth) to hold additional water, the surrounding area is NOT URBAN CITY. It this one flooded in very heavy rain, than at most only the SAF Kranji Camp will be affected. :-) My last reservist unit before I retired at age of 40 was there. Any ways the point is where is this additional flood area for Marina Barrage?

The answer seems to be Orchard Road unfortunately!

By simple hydrological knowledge, we know that dams are constructed on rivers to flood their valleys into artificial lakes used usually as reservoirs. In Singaporean examples, McRitchie; Seletar (upper & lower); Kranji; Pandan; Peirce (upper & lower) are all reservoirs constructed out of their respective named rivers. I can only recall one reservoir - Bedok that is not constructed by building a dam on a river.

The famiLEE LEEgime now built Marina Barrage, to dam both Singapore River & Kallang River, to become yet another fresh water reservoir. That is another expensive plan of PUB under MEWR under Yaacob Ibrahim to have have water after failure to negotiate water supply from Malaysia.

Several others in the catchment areas of Singapore & Kallang Rivers?

We don't need to have PHD in hydrological science in order to relate the obvious facts compared before and after the completion of Marina Barrage. Orchard Road did not flooded for 2 to 3 decades before, and only after the billion dollar Barrage.

But here is the most audacious lie about Marina Barrage & flood by famiLEE LEEgime:

The Marina Barrage reservoir did help in preventing a bigger disaster during the recent flash floods, said Dr Amy Khor, who was present at yesterday's event in Bukit Gombak.

The Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, said that six out of the seven gates at the barrage were left open to manage the amount of rainfall during the heavy thunderstorms last month.

Dr Khor, also Member of Parliament for Hong Kah GRC, added that since the 1970s, the number of flood-prone areas had been reduced from 3,200 hectares to 66 hectares.

The Government has spent at least $2 billion to improve the drainage system and will continue to review the current system, she said.

As for the impact of climate change on rainfall patterns, Dr Khor said that the Government had undertaken a vulnerability study but rainfall patterns were difficult to predict and there was a need to wait for new inputs on improving forecasting methods. Ng Jing Yng

Activists repeatedly caught famiLEE LEEgime deep in false rule of law

I will from now begin to write out on blog in accordance with Notes Of Evidence recorded by judges in court, the falsehood of famiLEE LEEgime caught out by activists challenging against their authoritarian governance.

First I shell begin with the case of Speakers Cornered, which was @ Hong Lim Park during the WB IMF 2006, which happened on 16.Sept.2006. The High Court just only yesterday began to hear a Criminal Motion filed by myself.

What was not being told before to the public regarding this event, was a surprise that also caught out the famiLEE LEEgime especially Deputy Assistance Commissioner Raymond Yeo who was personally at Speakers Corner commanding the Task Force Unit which cordoned & Cornered the Speakers so to speak.

I had told both District Court & High Court that the police forces commanded by DAC Raymond Yeo had enforced unlawfully at Hong Lim Park, shutting down entire Speakers Corner which is a legitimate place for public assembly & speeches, and I pointed out why & how exactly they lacked the justification and legal basis to Abusively Exceeded Lawful Limits of Police Powers.

Inspector Patrick Lim told subordinate court on the witness stand that he pulled out loudhailer at Speakers Corner and Announced that the crowd at Speakers Corner was and Illegal Assembly, and he ordered the crowd to disperse.

The only reason that the police had done so was ONLY BECAUSE Dr CSJ had during his speech made at Speakers Corner invited people to march to the parliament, which was deemed to be a procession without permit.

WB/IMF event did not change any law in Singapore, and Speakers Corner on 16.Sept.2006 was still a lawful place of Speeches and Assembly, and I had registered myself lawfully to speak there. What the famiLEE LEEgime failed to determine and distinguish and further made completely wrong assumption, which was what I had not revealed online so far, is that I was holding a Completely Independent & Unrelated Activity APART from Dr. CSJ's at Speakers Corner on 16.Sept.2006!

Speakers Corner is a public place, and any Singaporean citizen have the same rights to register and speak independently and apart from each other at Speaker's Corner. The police have no basis nor reason to blindly assume any users or activities at a public place all to be one of the same, or that all the people there shared the same plan or intention. There is certainly also no legal basis for that.

The task force commanded by DAC Raymond Yeo & his men such as DSP Hassan & Inspector Patrick Lim etc had altogether shared the same big mistake, and enforced law blindly. The Notes Of Evidence by judge recorded clearly, that they had NOT AT ALL done anything to establish this simple fact and made any effort to check on this aspect.

The evidence had been admitted in the Speakers Cornered case includes:

Both Dr. CSJ & myself testified as defense witnesses that after GE2006 there is an understanding or verbal agreement between the 2 of us, to hold all our political activities separately & independently apart and unrelated from each. The reason is that I no longer willing to accept with any moderations or party disciplinary control or policies after the GE was over. In simple terms I want to be free and independent to enjoy political freedom as an individual activist.
For WB/IMF procession, Dr. CSJ made his own application for police permit, I also made not only one but 2 similar applications, independent from Dr. CSJ's, I called them Equality Demonstration which scheduled dates and locations and marching routes are all different from Dr CSJ's applications. Our applications had all been rejected. The records of these applications had all been admitted as documentary evidences.
For Speaking at Speakers Corner, I arrived there alone and registered to speak at the NPC from From 16.Sept.2006 TILL 30.Sept.2006 then I started to speak to members of public & WB/IMF reporters even before Dr. CSJ & his group arrived to register themselves. Police Investigation Office DSP William Goh confirmed this as a prosecution witness. Dr CSJ & Mr. Ghandi etc arrived later than me to register to speak and only for 16.Sept.2006 - just 1 day and not for the rest of the month. This official record of speakers registration was admitted also as documentary evidence.
For attires, Dr. CSJ & his group put on Free Now & Democracy Now T-shirts, while I was wearing my own dumb-down & middle finger to famiLEE LEEgime T-shirt. My T-shirt had been admitted as evidence exhibit.
My speeches made was about Progress Package & Corrupted GE & famiLEE LEEgime, completely not the same as Dr. CSJ & his group. I did not indicated any interest to hold any march nor procession, and even after Dr. CSJ invited people to march with him, I did not indicated any interest because I maintained the agreement between us to be independent and free from each others activities. This was proven in court as well.

These evidence admitted in the Speakers Cornered case hearing given above are NOT DISPUTED by prosecution at all, but they were obviously caught out and unprepared for these facts of the case.

The legal stand of my defense is very simple:

Everyone have the same rights to use Speakers Corner, the police is completely wrong to have the only Speaker Corner SHUT DOWN just because only but one speaker - Dr. CSJ had proposed an illegal procession. As the police did nothing at all to determine the intentions of ALL other individuals at Hong Lim Park, how did they come to this completely baseless conclusion that everyone there was to join Dr. CSJ in his proposed procession?
I am registered as a lawful speaker at Speakers Corner, the same crowd including WB/IMF media reporters were part of my fully legitimate activity which began BEFORE Dr. CSJ had arrived at this Public Park, and I had never proposed any illegal procession throughout, there is no reason nor any legal basis that police could shut down my activity, and declared me & my lawful audience as an illegal assembly, regardless weather if Dr. CSJ from an unrelated activity had proposed an illegal procession. Whatever Dr. CSJ or any other speakers can do or say, would NEVER CHANGE the legitimacy of my activity & it's participants. Why police then ordered to disperse us especially when the police had entirely not queried me nor my audience on weather I was going to take part in Dr. CSJ's march. How can they then blindly assumed and enforced against us?
The police declared the crowd at Speakers Corner as illegal assembly with binded assumption, and they followed that mistake by forming up 3 layers of human cordons around us at Speakers Corner, and prevented members of public from entering the park, this was proven and in evidence. They had exceeded lawful limits of police powers and I insisted to judges that they had imposed an unlawful curfew and shutdown the legitimate Speakers Corner where peaceful people can assemble and speak.
Then further then enforcing blindly and abusively, they then assumed anyone who resisted against the cordoning or intending to leave that cordon to be intending to go on a procession proposed by Dr. CSJ. That is very silly and unreasonable as they had again such rash assumption WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED, just enforced blindly.

How can leaving the cordon and marching towards the parliament be treated to be the same with totally no attempt made to verify that?

Senior police officers under my cross examinations, admitted that even after they had announced the dispersal order, the Kerata Ayer NPC remained OPENED for public to register themselves to speak, but they lied to court by arguing that any legitimate speakers unrelated to Dr. CSJ's march can approach police and ask for a separated portion of Speakers Corner for their unrelated activities. So I confronted them in cross examination that I had repeatedly tired to reason with more than one officers at the scene including DSP Hassan who appeared to be in-charge, but they ignored me entirely, DSP Hassan testified that he was not quite paying attention to me as he was tasked only to deal with Dr. CSJ.

Therefore my defense based on facts of the case if very simple. Police and enforced blindly and wrongfully on 16. Sept.2006 at Speakers Corner and had made too many wrong assumptions.

The cordoning of activists was excessive and improper use of police forces, blindly applied to citizens without any measure taken to determine weather their intention was lawful or unlawful. Activists were unlawfully detained without any lawful arrests, restriction against personal freedom of movement is violation against Constitutional Articles: 9, 13 & 14 .

Liberty of the person
9. —(1) No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty save in accordance with law. (2) Where a complaint is made to the High Court or any Judge thereof that a person is being unlawfully detained, the Court shall inquire into the complaint and, unless satisfied that the detention is lawful, shall order him to be produced before the Court and release him. (3) Where a person is arrested, he shall be informed as soon as may be of the grounds of his arrest and shall be allowed to consult and be defended by a legal practitioner of his choice. (4) Where a person is arrested and not released, he shall, without unreasonable delay, and in any case within 48 hours (excluding the time of any necessary journey), be produced before a Magistrate and shall not be further detained in custody without the Magistrate’s authority. (5) Clauses (3) and (4) shall not apply to an enemy alien or to any person arrested for contempt of Parliament pursuant to a warrant issued under the hand of the Speaker. (6) Nothing in this Article shall invalidate any law —
(a) in force before the commencement of this Constitution which authorises the arrest and detention of any person in the interests of public safety, peace and good order; or
(b) relating to the misuse of drugs or intoxicating substances which authorises the arrest and detention of any person for the purpose of treatment and rehabilitation,
by reason of such law being inconsistent with clauses (3) and (4), and, in particular, nothing in this Article shall affect the validity or operation of any such law before 10th March 1978.

Prohibition of banishment and freedom of movement
13. —(1) No citizen of Singapore shall be banished or excluded from Singapore. (2) Subject to any law relating to the security of Singapore or any part thereof, public order, public health or the punishment of offenders, every citizen of Singapore has the right to move freely throughout Singapore and to reside in any part thereof.

Freedom of speech, assembly and association
14. —(1) Subject to clauses (2) and (3) —
(a) every citizen of Singapore has the right to freedom of speech and expression;
(b) all citizens of Singapore have the right to assemble peaceably and without arms; and
(c) all citizens of Singapore have the right to form associations.
(2) Parliament may by law impose —
(a) on the rights conferred by clause (1) (a), such restrictions as it considers necessary or expedient in the interest of the security of Singapore or any part thereof, friendly relations with other countries, public order or morality and restrictions designed to protect the privileges of Parliament or to provide against contempt of court, defamation or incitement to any offence;
(b) on the right conferred by clause (1) (b), such restrictions as it considers necessary or expedient in the interest of the security of Singapore or any part thereof or public order; and
(c) on the right conferred by clause (1) (c), such restrictions as it considers necessary or expedient in the interest of the security of Singapore or any part thereof, public order or morality.
(3) Restrictions on the right to form associations conferred by clause (1) (c) may also be imposed by any law relating to labour or education.

What sort of rule of law is this when just merely one individual proposed to break the law can cause the entire collection of members of public to be deemed as unlawful, and face brute-force enforcement applied from wrong assumption? Is that no difference from North Korea or Myanmar or Zimbabwe?

I am not speaking on behalf of other persons at the scene, except for myself, that I know I wasn't going to take part in any procession. I did not check with the other persons, but I witnessed that the police took totally no measures determine the intention of every person caught within their cordon, except for speaking to mainly Dr. CSJ plus may be Mr. Ghandi & Miss CSC at the most.

The trial at district court heard that Dr. CSJ had not told the crowd how they may enroll or how to indicate their interest to take part in that proposed march. There is no dispute regarding this fact by prosecutors. Therefore, by just only listening to Dr. CSJ's speech at there, regardless what law had Dr. CSJ proposed to break, it does not incriminate the audience in any way, and there is no legal basis for the police to over-react and without taking any measures to determine, blindly assumed that all the audience at Speakers Corner had intended to break any law, and enforced cordon against these members of public.

The police witnesses testified that no lawful curfew nor emergency law had been put in force at Speaker Corner on 16.Sept.2006, nor had any person been placed under lawful arrest. There were no fire nor flood nor bomb or any live threatening emergencies. Therefore I pointed out the cordons were unlawful and unnecessary.

The court further can not equate those who tried to leave Speakers Corner or exit from the police cordon to be same as intending to proceed to Parliament House with Dr. CSJ on a march without permit. The members of public have the rights to leave police cordon unless they were placed under arrest. I testifier and showed evidence that police placed Dr CSJ & Miss CSC under cordon even when they went to the toilets.

In this case the prosecution could only proved that I did not cooperate with the police to stay within the cordon, and I insist that I am not a part of the proposed procession, I had registered to speak lawfully, I had not asked people to march nor had indicated any intention to march, I had not been place under arrest, I have rights to leave cordon, how can they convict me for attempting to march with Dr. CSJ to Parliament House? I told District Court that I didn't even believe that Dr. CSJ was really intending to march to Parliament & Suntec City because Suntec was fortified by metal barriers and heavily defended. At that time I assumed that Dr. CSJ in his speech was only saying that to cause the Singapore Police Force to do something VERY STUPID BEFORE THE WB/IMF MEDIA, and if that was his intention then it worked out perfectly.

I showed the court a WB/IMF meeting delegate's security pass, issued to me with my name & photo, and this was admitted as evidence. I registered with the World Bank online to be an accredited participant to the Annual Meetings for Civil Society SCO (the foreign protesters) and I had been issued with that pass to enter Suntec City. My intention was too meet with foreign protesters and invite them to Speakers Corner where I can register to speak lawfully where they can be my audience and protest together (for this reason I had registered to speak until 30.Sept.2006). Among the 5 defendants I was the only one who could goto Suntec City without intruding security because I held that pass. The famiLEE LEEgime later interfered with the World Bank & objected to my accreditation into the SCO annual meetings, the court was also told when I testified. My security pass was also admitted as case evidence. Logically I was a part of the WB/IMF delegates who the Singapore police were supposed to protect and treat me with courtesy, however the surrounded me with human cordons and push against me, then charged me wrongfully to be attempting to march to Suntec City where I am entitled to gain lawful entry. I am SG citizen and had lawfully registered to speak at Hong Lim Park, is this how you treat WB/IMF delegate you stupid matas? :-)

SINGAPORE must not shy away from embracing new, highly educated migrants, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew said yesterday.

Re-stating his view on the issue, he said Singapore would continue to need overseas talent to drive its economic dynamo.

Pointing to the first quarter growth of 13.1 per cent and revised government projections of 7 per cent to 9 per cent growth for the year, he said this was 'a big turnaround from our most difficult period in early 2009'.

With the outlook for the global economy now brighter, sustaining Singapore's long-term prospects meant the country needed to grow as an attractive hub for international trade, investment and talent.

'That was how we grew from a fishing village to a trading post under the British, and now a vibrant metropolis,' he said. 'We benefited from being open to immigrants from around the world, especially China, India and the region.'

He said while first-generation migrants might find it difficult to take on local habits and accents, their families would be naturalised.

LKy the old dog thief is recalling peasants to EMBRACE MIGRANTS, he is actually referring to EMBRACING HIS POLICY WHICH HAD BEEN REJECTED BY ANGRY PEASANTS!

He is out of luck.

A serious failure that will be REPUDIATED over and over by Singaporeans including the NEW CITIZENS. Because it FAILED SO BADLY, both the NEW & EXISTING CITIZENS SUFFERED.

The fact that Old Dog Thief himself & his son & his LEEgime minions can not convince Singaporeans to accept migrants is by itself the prove that New Citizens Had Suffered Rejection. And by that fact, they had been the victims of this failed policy as well. There is no way to deny this.

My angle on this issue must be again highlighted. I recognize the fact that Singapore had been built up my migrants since the colonial eras, and Singapore in the past including era when Old Dog Thief himself was PM had benefited from successful immigration policies. But this success had already turned into LEEgime's biggest failure of all time, in the hands of Ass Loong Son.

It is clearly a failure and rejected policy right now. It is clearly entirely not the same as the past, not the same effects; not the same scale; not the same pace; not the same atmosphere. It ruined the past success in the same area, and the damage can last for a very long time, it will mostly last longer than the LEEgime, and prolong to hurt post-LEEgime Singapore that post-LEEgime government will have to be hampered by this burden and find it hard to regain successful immigration policy due to factors such as acceptance.

For the most immediate future, famiLEE LEEgime will get REPUDIATION from Singaporeans, both the new and original citizens due to this terrible failure.

This failure came directly of their childish greedy goal of increasing Singaporean population level to 6.5 million within just few years, from 3-4 million, while local birth rates declined drastically, and citizens migrated elsewhere in large scale abandoning LEEgime. The consequence is obvious and the stupidity of LEEgime is astonishing.

Tell the new migrants:

The policy of famiLEE LEEgime EXPLOIT and BETRAY and followed by REPLACING their citizens.
In due time, there will be newer migrants from other parts of the world to REPLACE the current New Migrants after they had been EXPLOITED & BETRAYED by famiLEE LEEgme. It is just a matter of time, based on our true experience.

Flexible Cooperation more realistic than Full Opposition Unity

I am writing from my personal observation and experience after getting involved for so many years.

In my view any rigid unity for opposition is difficult and impractical, however, flexible cooperations always exists and the trend will continue for the current scenario. I think this is the best.

The background being that famiLEE LEEgime is a totalitarian that ruled since Singapore's independence, which fixed every policies and measures imposed on all citizens all the way, they are encountering opposition from a very vast and widespread background. The famiLEE LEEgime is very tied-down in this manner and at this stage, they are facing deeper and more additional restrains.

The oppositions & restrains targeted at famiLEE LEEgime from all angles, including opposing angles, that meant opposing views on some particular issues, and disagreeing against famiLEE LEEigme's ways from different perspective and angles.

I had personally adopted the strategy of cornering famiLEE LEEgime via ALL ANGLES, to keep them under cross fire from every sides, from every one. In this way we need not go through getting everyone to agree on anything among ourselves. Even when we have disagreements among ourselves, we can just share the same understanding that we put the famiLEE LEEgime in the middle of the issue and bash them rather than each others among ourselves.

In this way we leave room however tiny or large between ourselves in where we can still seek whatever possible limited cooperations for any mutual benefits, on flexible basis. We seek to leave nothing for famiLEE LEEgime to gain on the issue concerned, corner them to face the LOSE-LOSE scenario. Get them binded and keep them caught in between, in whichever direction they move they will face resistance.

As far as the current scenario goes, this strategy works well.

On the contrary, if we seek the bigger scale unity, there are too many things that oppositions need to agree and thus compromise among. This is not impossible, but the practical advantage is very little at this stage. The compromise will actually weaken lots of the opposition's original strength. Further, it opens some escape ways for famiLEE LEEgime to move themselves out of their own difficult binds.

Opposition unity is achieved in Malaysia, and I sincerely congratulate them.

What it took there includes for example, DAP & PAS to come to term among themselves, on racial and religious issues, which were sources of past conflicts among the 2. There is significant efforts and prices to be paid for this. The trade-off however, is that will simplify BN's consideration for their own positions and policies, because now they have only to face PKR on a single front instead of facing PAS & DAP franking from 2 different fronts.

In Singaporean scenario, not only we lack a Mr. Anwar, our senior JBJ had already gone to a better place. So our scenario of unity is different from that of the Malaysian. We should not aim to replicate their success directly, but we have to seek our own path and innovations.

Had late Mr. JBJ not left, he would be a more senior and central person within oppositions to contribute in a unique perspective that absolutely none of us can do in his place. Late Mr. JBJ could chair an opposition meeting in which everyone of us will give him due respect unquestioned. I said this only to honor a senior that we had lost.

The chemistry among opposition is currently not poised to achieve any great full scale unity, however there had been and there will be flexible cooperations among the oppositions, what we hope is to enhance and increase these cooperations to more effective levels, especially towards the GE.

Singaporeans must not blindly and in naive assumptions expect any impractical unity within opposition. Forcefully snapping them together will limit their own abilities to fight against famiLEE LEEgime. Within my personal experience, in order to work together with others, I felt that I had to compromise too much, and soften too much, and in many situation allowed famiLEE LEEgime to get away from attacks that I could otherwise brutally deliver. Where damages on the famiLEE LEEgime are due, there are too many weak-spots where should had been blasted apart, had there not been softer elements within the opposition who could not afford to pay a little higher price necessary to bleed the bastards in famiLEE LEEgime.

All I want to remind opposition members and supporters now is to carefully train away FRIENDLY FIRE from each other, while facing famiLEE LEEgime. With every shot that we fire away, we must try not to let famiLEE LEEgime make any gains from it.

It will come to a time when we can recognize and appreciate each other better, and work towards stronger unity. For now, pse focus fire on famiLEE LEEgime, and look for ways cooperate among ourselves, for the sake of the republic.

Recently Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew had again mention about RETRAINING Singaporeans. Something that is very uniquely famiLEE LEEgime in the entire world. The old dog said:

To do well in the next five years, we must raise skills across the board, have more enterprise innovation, and a restructuring of our industries. Restructuring means those companies that have good management will expand and go abroad but those that cannot restructure, ie, automate, computerise, retrain workers for higher skills and productivity will lose out to the successful companies who will take over their markets or buy over their companies. Every worker has to be re-skilled, re-trained and re-educated to achieve higher standards of capabilities. A three-way partnership – government, unions and employers can achieve this. The government will provide the schemes like Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience (SPUR), Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Jobs Re-creation Programme (JRP). Trade unions, the NTUC must work with government and employers to get workers to use these retraining programmes, to improve their skills and knowledge. Employers must be willing to invest in the retraining and up-skilling of their workforce, encouraging their workers to enrol for these courses and giving them the time to do so. We must work towards achieving these qualities in the next five years.

This Periodic pattern of failure and repetitive retraining began since the era of minion Goh Choke Dong as PM. Then the famiLEE LEEgime had asked Singaporeans to be retrained for Advance Electronic Manufacturing Industries. Only few years down the road when Singapore lost competitiveness to ASEAN countries famiLEE LEEgime asked for retraining to Higher Automation & Productivity. Few more years down the road, when electronics production was near to failure, they called for retraining again to go to Precision Engineering & Life Science. Very soon all that became failures again, they called again for retraining to become Service Industries and admitted that production had completely failed. And they are still continuing to fail and RECYCLE Singaporean's careers and life as I am writing!

When famiLEE LEEgime sank down to the level of ENTERTAINMENT because Service Industry isn't doing well either, they Retrained Singaporeans to be Gambling Dealers for their Casinos. When the famiLEE LEEgime's gambling dens failed, they will again retrain citizens to be male & female prostitutes in their famiLEE LEEgime brothels. :-Z Yes they WILL!

I want to point out that the past record and pattern had proved that these retraining are indeed only RETREATING MEASURES instead of ADVANCEMENTS like the famiLEE & Minions try to make them look like. Uniquely famiLEE LEEgime, they had retreated from one lost economic territory to another and recycled Singaporeans' careers and professionalism rounds after rounds. There is only WASTED TIME + RESOURCES + DAMAGES, they had thrown down the drain the Singaporean people's QUALIFICATIONS; SKILLS; CREDENTIALS; EXPERIENCES; TRACK RECORDS; CAREERS; CONFIDENCE; FAITH & ENTHUSIASM with their works. This is not just one time but a repetitive cycle.

If you checked and compared Singapore against all other successful economies, is there any similar Rapidly Repetitive Retraining happening in the G8 nations?

Not only the past trainings on Singaporeans had gone to waste in very huge extend, these skills are NEVER reusable. I want to point out that in combination with famiLEE LEEgime's other imbecilic policies they are actually squandering huge resources and time and opportunities in these retraining, because the WORKERS mentioned by Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew, actually includes a LARGE PROPORTION OF FOREIGNERS (FTs) within our work force. That means we are spending to retrain Malaysians; Indonesians; Bangladeshis; Burmese; Thais; Vietnamese; Filipinos; Indians & PRC Chinese, instead of just Singaporeans. Most of these people just leave Singapore after they had made their monies from taking Singaporeans jobs. They also take with them skills and trainings which were paid for by us Singaporeans, which also goes down to drain in our national perspective.

There is no long term benefits what so ever, achieved by these retraining. This is because the famiLEE LEEgime CONSTANTLY ABANDONED their failed adventures, which are GREEDY; MYOPIC & EGOISTIC in nature. They plundered and squandered everything along their way.

I need to point out that although these developed skills became wasted here as famiLEE LEEgime abandoned their failures, the foreigners still enjoy them when they go back or proceeded to work elsewhere. One clear example is the skills abilities in electronic manufacturing industries, where hundred thousand Malaysian workers who were trained here spending our funds such as Skill Development Funds are still using these skill in their own homeland as productions shifted to Johore & KL & Penang. This example is not unique, there are too many countries from where people had came here to earn salaries and gain experiences and skills which are lucrative to themselves as well as to their own countries. Construction industries are just another area of examples. In Electricians; Plumbers; Carpenters; Cooks; Telecommunications; etc industries, the famiLEE LEEgime had spent billions of our tax dollars to train millions of foreigners now contributing in competitive economies in areas mostly abandoned by famiLEE LEEgime after each round of failures.

Khaw Boon Wan's Policy to spend Medisave in Malaysia is rubbish

I will be supportive for a PROPER policy to allow Singaporeans to spend their Medisave abroad to get health care for themselves or dependents, however the recent policy by famiLEE LEEgime's Khaw Boon Wan Minister for Health ought to be strongly opposed.

For Singaporeans I can see at least in 3 ways they could require to spend their Medisave abroad in order to safe their own lives:

When they got accident / injuries / sudden ailments while traveling or studying or working overseas
When they need a certain medical treatment which is unavailable in Singapore, but available overseas, e.g. cancer treatment by Chinese TCM in specialized PRC hospitals 肿瘤专科医院。
When they can no longer afford the expensive medical expenses in Singapore, but they are suffering and dying while their Medisave still can afford them a medical services overseas where cost is much lower

Medisave of famiLEE LEEgime had in all these past decades been a very badly monopolized system that channels only and strictly towards famiLEE LEEgime's own medical businesses, while peasants suffered and died while being ripped off. These victims includes many late senior citizens who contributed very much to this country and loved and cared for us the Singaporeans who live under famiLEE LEEgime.

I can safely say that Malaysian New Citizen Minister Khaw's policy to spend our Medisave in Malaysia, can NEVER fit into #1 nor #2 above, and can hardly fit into #3. WHY MALAYSIA in the very 1st place? Because it is Mr. COW's hometown? Why not Thailand where their hospitals are as good and as low in cost? Why not so many other countries?

It would become very ugly if some one raised suspicious speculations that there are linkage of interest between Medisave policy makers or high officials with certain Selected and Approved Facilities in Malaysia.

Khaw Boon Wan had since GE2006 wanted to dumb Singaporeans into Cheaper Nursing Homes in Johore & Batam, which had been opposed by angry Singaporeans.

If the objectives of policy is only to safe cost, then why not just setup Special Medical Zones within Singapore with lower cost similar to Free Trade Zones? Why not bring these more cost competitive foreign medical services into Singapore instead?

Why transport our sick and dying Singaporeans to Malaysia and then if they died there, it will be a great hassle to bring them back for funeral, this is not funny, but recently a Singaporean died in JB by accident and the casket shipped over to Singapore from JB is too large to fit into Mandai Crematorium cremation furnace, this caught the family by great nasty surprise and in most awkward bind.

Leader of independent church apologises to Buddhists and Taoists
THE Government called up a Christian church leader yesterday after receiving complaints about online video clips that show him making insensitive comments about Buddhism.
The Internal Security Department yesterday met Senior Pastor Rony Tan, founder of the Lighthouse Evangelism independent church, and told him that what he did was wrong.

Last night, he posted an apology on the church's website, promising to respect other faiths and 'not ridicule them in any way, shape or fashion'.

The video clips, which first appeared on the church's website two weeks ago, showed Pastor Tan questioning two church members as they recounted their past experiences as Buddhists.

In the exchanges, some of Pastor Tan's comments - on Buddhist precepts of rebirth, karma and nirvana - drew laughter from his audience.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said last night that his comments were 'highly inappropriate and unacceptable as they trivialised and insulted the beliefs of Buddhists and Taoists'.

That is only because the incompetent famiLEE LEEgime is afraid to face these issues, and feel deeply insecure and completely lack confident to offer any of the necessary leadership and handle the situation as and when it is needed.

The subtle message from Ah Seng here is "We are Watching You so you better Shut Up!"

The famiLEE LEEgime Banned the discussion on these issues as they had considered them TABOO all these decades. These issues are banned at Speaker Corner; Main Stream Media; Academic as well as Cyber-Space although their control is lost in Cyber-Space. They had charged several bloggers hoping to intimidate the others to stick to their corrupted & incompetent TABOO, which corruptly compromised Singaporeans' need to express and interact as well as address these primarily important issues.

In my view, it is an unavoidable stage before the fall of BN Regime that UMNO will pull out this card of Race & Religion to be abused as a TRUMP over it opponents. Govt monitoring Singaporeans' reactions to church attacks in Malaysia

SINGAPORE: The government is monitoring ground reactions here after recent attacks on places of worship in Malaysia.

Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng said ground reactions in Singapore have largely been calm.

In recent weeks there were attacks on churches in Malaysia after the High Court allowed a Catholic newspaper to use the word 'Allah' to denote God.

"I think Singaporeans must have a care not to bring problems like this to themselves," said DPM Wong at a community event in Singapore on Sunday.

"We live in an inter-connected world, we cannot be divorced from what happens in other countries. But at the same time we must be rational, and examine: when we bring such problems to our shores, what are we trying to do? Are we trying to express sympathy only, or will doing so result in more problems for our own community?"

Race and religion have always been seen as a potential minefield in Singapore.

And it's a perennial concern of authorities that if such issues are not handled quickly and carefully, they could erupt into something more serious.

With more immigrants coming to Singapore, efforts are being made to help new citizens and permanent residents understand the nation's ethnic realities.

For example, the National Integration Council will launch the Singapore Citizenship Journey in March this year.

The online programme will give information on Singapore's cultures, values and key institutions.

Mr Wong said: "Those who come here to make a living, to make this their home, ought to understand the local context and not allow what happens in their own home to affect what happens in Singapore."

Ethnic realities also mean that race-based policies will remain.

On the recent move to allow a person's mixed heritage to be recorded in official papers, Mr Wong said it is to give such individuals a choice. Whether that choice is exercised or not, it is up to them.

另外，安华也将争议矛头指向“阿拉”案的当事人内政部，抨击该部在问题萌生早期，就应召集各宗教代表对话解决争议，但却疏于职守，才酿成今日的风波。

“目前的阶段，我们能够做的就是呼吁冷静，让宗教机构、学者、回教组织与非回教组织，展开坦然的交流，这是最佳的方式。”

不回应民联是否有共同立场

安华是今早在吉隆坡回教法庭入禀口供书后，受询及“阿拉”字眼使用权的风波时，发表上述的意见。

不过，他不愿正面回应本身是否支持高庭的裁决，仅是强调内政部早前没有召集各教代表对话明显失职。

受询及民联是否须应表达共同立场，以及回教党早前表达的立场，安华并没有直接给予回答，只表示“我可以向他们查询”。

There is no coincident that I share the same attitude as Mr. Anwar towards racial and religious subjects, because that is the right attitude, and that is where LKy is very very wrong.

Mr. Anwar had exhibited the quality of leadership which is clearly lacked by Lee Kuan Yew and all his million dollar ministers.

I particularly want to point out that LKy had made these subjects Taboo everywhere on media, TV, Speakers Corner, educational or academic debates, by laws and regulations, and the corrupted and incompetent famiLEE LEEgime punished people who raised these subjects. WHY? Because LKy is fearful and feeling absolutely insecure because he have no quality nor ability to provide the necessary leadership in these important areas.

As such, he is evasive and self-deceptive in total avoidance from these areas. MR YEO Cheow Tong, a former Cabinet minister who has been representing the Hong Kah area for 25 years, will not contest the next general election.

Mr Yeo told The Straits Times on Tuesday that he had expressed his intentions to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong before the last general election in 2006.

'I agreed with the Prime Minister then that I would stand for one more term. After that, I want to retire from politics,'' he said.

'Having been MP since 1984, it's time to call it a day and let a younger person take over,' added the 62-year-old, who left the Cabinet in 2006.

The next general election is due by February 2012. Mr Yeo's desire to step out of politics completely was disclosed by PM Lee after the 2006 polls. But Mr Lee asked him to stay on as MP 'because I know how much work he has put in at his constituency'.

Hence, when reporters on Tuesday posed the question, Mr Yeo said he 'felt I should confirm I won't be running rather than give the wrong impression'.

Nothing is clearer than it is the duty and responsibility of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Minister George Yeo to uphold the Rights and Justice for Singaporean citizens and users of public roads, to demand an apology and urge the Romanian Government to take responsibility to losses and damages caused by their Diplomatic Minister Silviu Ionescu who had shamefully fled after a car accident on our roads which resulted in fatality and injuries to our people.

Although the deceased is Malaysian but Singaporeans were injured.

Under the diplomatic immunity treaty the diplomat can not be prosecuted nor sued for damages, however Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister George Yeo can make such demands via diplomatic channels. Since there is no prosecution in the view diplomatic solution is the only one left available.

The ball is in George Yeo's court, it is your ministry, during your watch, please discharge your ministerial duty and service our country and the people.

It is not Wong Kan Seng's duty this time, because it involves diplomatic Minister & diplomatic vehicle. MHA can only investigate, after which MFA must take over from there.

Can Ministry of Foreign Affairs keep quiet about this matter?

APEC 2009 remembered for real achievements, not public protests
SINGAPORE: The day that United States President Barack Obama arrived in Singapore, a convoy of four BMW cars with Asia—Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) number plates attempted to enter the Shangri—La Hotel without security checks.
Despite the insistence of the motorcade’s security command officer that a minister was in one of the cars, the police officers — who included National Servicemen — stood firm and performed the vehicle checks.

In the end, it was a test by the Home Team on its men on the ground.

MingYi had been sentenced to 10 months today, by DJ Toh who acquitted my friend Mr. Jufrie Mahmood just yesterday, and he was the same judge who 1st issued warrant and then canceled against Dr. CSJ in July 2009. But I must clearly point out that, I am not saying that DJ Toh's sentence on MingYi's case is problem here, it has got to do with what the accused persons had been CHARGED WITH - of course by the famiLEE LEEgme in the first place.

Bastard TT Durai is very well connected in the corrupted famiLEE LEEgime.

Durai's fraud is much more serious and politically corrupted. But he had only been charged and convicted for a just a tiny portion of his fraud amounting just S$20K. The rest of his crimes got swept away under carpet.

MingYi is obviously not as well connected in the famiLEE LEEgime as TT Durai, he got sentenced 10 months for 2 charges and he still have 6 other charges stood down for hearing which he is still liable.

The comparison is very foul.

MingYi had risked his live and sweat to perform for charity shows repeatedly. This is what I called 有目共睹 in Chinese, meaning witnessed by the public. TT Durai is a piece of famiLEE LEEgime scum, who brags and false claim credits to himself and conducts GRAFTS like famiLEE LEEgime LEEgally, beside SUING RIGHTEOUS Whistle Blowers for DEFAMATION just like his boss Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew and Son. They had been bragging about it that Singapore will NEVER get a flood when their news reported about floods in Malaysia and other Asian cities. They said they had spent BILLIONS of tax dollars into World Class DRAINAGE WORKS. There is another recently completed Marina Barrage which squandered additional tons of tax dollars.

But it FLOODED indeed!

My video shows the reality of conditions over the Bukit Timah Canal which flooded this week. Note the BIG TREE growing atop the PUB's high tension Electrical Cable Bridge over the canal.It is a reflection of how lack of care and maintenance and how UNSAFE it is as the famiLEE LEEgime's MILLION DOLLAR Ministers brag their First World Craps.

Heavy rain causes knee—high floods in Bukit Timah

SINGAPORE: Heavy and intense rain caused flooding in some parts of Singapore in the early part of Thursday afternoon.

The situation was especially bad in Bukit Timah. At its peak, the flood waters reached knee level.

The affected areas were the stretches from Coronation Road to Third Avenue and from Wilby Road to Blackmore Road. The junction of Sixth Avenue with Bukit Timah Road was also flooded.

Traffic was brought to a standstill along some stretches of Bukit Timah Road.

MediaCorp’s news hotline received several calls from members of the public who said cars had trouble driving along these areas.

Parents who had sent their children for examinations at schools and junior colleges in the areas were also stuck in the floods. In some cases, water levels reached car windows.

PUB said 92mm of rain fell within half an hour from about 1.20pm—1.50pm. The total amount of rainfall was 110mm which is approximately 43% of the average monthly rainfall for November.

Thursday’s intense rainfall which was about six times that of a normal storm resulted in massive amounts of water — equivalent to the amount in 115 Olympic—sized pools — to drain into Bukit Timah 1st Diversion Canal, causing it to overflow.

The Bukit Timah 1st Diversion Canal which was completed in the early 1970s has been effective in preventing flooding in the Bukit Timah area, until the exceptionally intense storm on Thursday. PUB says it intends to upgrade this canal in the near future.

PUB officers were on site on Thursday to help out, using tankers to pump water out from two basement carparks as well as cleaning up houses that had been affected by flood waters.

PUB advises the public to exercise caution as flash floods may still occur in the event of heavy storms.

Lee Kuan Yew had been a National Burden for years.

His fears are not our fear. His blindness is not ours. We don't have to share his defeats with him.

TWO more H1N1 patients with underlying conditions died on Wednesday, bringing the number of deaths in Singapore to three in less than a week.

One of them is a 13-year-old boy, who suffered from epilepsy. He died from prolonged seizures in which H1N1 was a contributing factor, said a Ministry of Health statement.
He was admitted to National University Hospital on Sunday after coming down with a fever and cough. His heart and respiratory functions stopped at the hospital's emergency department and he was later transferred to the paediatric intensive care unit.

I predicted that H1N1 positive test rate will go up from 13% towards 50% in my previous Blog Post, It proved correct within 2 days that became 53%. My next prediction is that it will soon past 75%.

I am hereby calling famiLEE LEEgime and all events' organizers to hold off; postpone or cancel any mass public events until there is sign that H1N1 Swine Flu is over or there is practical ways to stop the community transmission of this pandemic.

The 1st Death from H1N1 Swine Flu was seen yesterday in Singapore. A man past away in the ICU. Another woman is in critical condition in ICU she is 6 month pregnant and only 22 years old.

In particular I stress that National Day Parade 2009 & Formula One Race should be called off.

These events are Unnecessary; Wasteful; Disrupting as the originally are, and now in addition, they INEVITABLY & UNNECESSARILY provides massive chances for the Pandemic to SPREAD More Effectively. famiLEE LEEgime had been Squandering Money in the past decades to do NDPs, and now they will be for the 1st time Squandering Lives to do this in NDP2009.

Visitors to clinical areas will have their particulars recorded to help facilitate contact tracing.
Hospital Operations and Patient Care
Elective admissions have been reduced to increase hospital capacity.
All patients with flu symptoms AND travel history to affected areas will be isolated and managed appropriately.
Inter-hospital movement of patients restricted to emergencies.
Inter-hospital movement of doctors and healthcare workers restricted to essential services.
Enhanced Infection Control Measures
Healthcare workers in high risk areas will use full personal protective equipment (PPE)
Healthcare workers will use the appropriate PPE in other clinical areas.

In Primary Care Clinics:
Patients will be screened for fever and flu-like illness at the clinic reception.
Patients are to declare symptoms, contact and travel history in Patient Declaration Form
Patients with flu-like illness are to wear surgical masks and be separated from other patients while in the clinic
Staff will exercise strict infection control precautions (ie. temperature screening for all staff; triage staff to don full PPE; doctors to don PPE while attending to high risk patients)

In Community Hospitals and Nursing Homes:
Visitors are to fill in a self-declaration form indicating their NRIC, contact numbers and travel history.
Patients with flu-like illness are to wear surgical masks and be separated from other patients.
Staff will exercise strict infection control precautions (ie. temperature screening for all staff; triage staff to don full PPE; doctors to don PPE while attending to high risk patients)

At our Borders:
Temperature screening will be carried out for all incoming travellers at air, sea and land checkpoints
Passengers with fever symptoms will undergo a more thorough onsite medical assessment by the medical teams.

Integrity of election process a hot topic during youth forum

SINGAPORE: The integrity of the election process took centrestage during a two—hour forum on Sunday afternoon, organised by the People’s Association Youth Movement.
The 200 youths who attended the forum traded views with a panel, which included Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean.
It was a no—holds—barred session, and the panel of four speakers weighed in on various issues, answering questions on election procedures.
A major part of the discussion was used to clarify concerns over the fairness of the voting process.
Some participants questioned the ability of civil servants to carry out their electoral duties in a non—partisan manner.
"I understand that the vote counters are the civil servants. So what is the process to appoint vote counters? So (what are) the checks done to ensure that they are politically neutral?" asked one youth.
The panel was quick to point out the integrity of voting procedures.
Deputy Principal Senior State Counsel from the Attorney—General’s Chambers, Owi Beng Ki, stated that civil servants serve the president.
"Civil servants under the constitution hold their allegiance to the president. The symbolism that is attached to that is we actually serve at the pleasure of a politically neutral institution. It is one of the values of the civil service that we are politically impartial," said Ms Owi.
Mr Teo noted that the process itself is transparent, and available to scrutiny from all parties.
He said: "It’s a process which is watched with eagle eyes by the candidates and by persons whom the candidates themselves appoint as counting agents. They’re present in the counting centres, and they watch with eagle eyes, everything which goes on in the counting centres."
Another issue that drew much debate was the prime minister’s right to redraw constituency boundaries.
Mr Teo said it was necessary to change boundary configurations from time to time to reflect population movement.
"The new family formation is something like 20,000 a year. And so these tend to move, and other people also move from one constituency to another. And in Singapore they tend to be quite clustered. So from time to time, there will be a necessity to change the boundary configurations," said Mr Teo.
Other questions from the participants dealt with the election procedures, ranging from why online voting is not allowed, to where overseas voting is conducted.
An interesting fact was also unearthed —— in the event a contested ward ends in a draw, the outcome of the vote comes down to drawing lots, or flipping a coin.

Approaching The Global Economic Crossroad

In the last 2 centuries the world saw 2 major forms of economies - Communism vs Capitalism.

Undoubtedly communist giants Soviets & China had moved from communism towards capitalism, since Gorbachev & DengXiaoPing, until present. What I want to point out is that Obama & today's USA is moving the Capitalism World towards Communism, this is shown by Obama's present policies and his CHANGE campaign.

As it is, Obama govt is interfering against Capitalism's Market Economy bailing out private corporates with huge tax payers funds, and intervening with Business Management in e.g. executive salaries & bonus. Without arguing about these acts and just viewing them purely as facts, injecting trillion dollars of state funds into major corporates and politically managing them are essentially features of Communist Regimes.

The end results in Free Market Capitalist Corporates goes towards becoming state-owned and state-managed Corporates - AIG & Citi Corp & GE & Ford becomes the like of famiLEE LEEgime's Temasek GIC GLC GRC. As it is in Obama's hands these Private Business Corporates had become the WhiteHouse's liability and tax payers' burdens, as the trend is developing and intensifying towards the direction of Communism Economy.

Besides capital and managment, the same trend is adopted in the labour and employment aspects. Governments other than USA within the capitalism world are mosting fighting against unemployment by initialing large scale national projects, Stimulus Plans or Resilience Package whatever they called them, are in nature so similar with Soviet or PRC's Communist Economic Schema or mark-out projects. The US Govt's issuing of Food Stamps and poor citizens lining up at Soup Kitchens are not in nature any difference from comparable Bread Lines in the ex-Soviet.

I want to point out that the world is at a really major crossroad at which Communism & Capitalism are meeting at the same point. Both communism and capitalism are losing their original features and adopting the feature of each other.

The irony had shown up that roles and positions switched between Communist & Capitalist worlds, where those used to be rich became poor and those used to be poor become rich. Those who used to be failures and laughing-stocks switch with those who used to be successful and contempt.

In the key transition from Communist Soviet to Capitalist Russia it was Gorbachev's Perestroika. In the key transition from Capitalism USA to whatever the future they become, here is Obama's CHANGE.

Gorbachev's Perestroika drastically altered the Warsaw Pack Eastern Block e.g. East Germany; Poland; Romania; Yugoslavia; Hungary; Khasakistan; Ukraine etc. Obama's change will affect NATO & G8 & many other countries, in significance and meanings and scale comparable to Gorbachev's Perestroika, this is foreseeable from my point of view.

At this Global Crossroad, both the communism and capitalism worlds will trade economic features and strategies, their people will exchange their experiences from their own histories, they may also trade their feuds and spark World War III in the process, however at the ending they will understand each other better. It is a major lengthy reaction and process in world's history.

What I have yet to figure out is about the aspect of Freedom. So far it seemed that people from the ex-communist states are enjoying more freedom after their countries' transition towards capitalism, it is yet to be able to figure out weather the freedom of people will suffer as their capitalism states moves through depression towards communist colored future.

Lets wait and see and I am sure there are things to be learned.

Singapore PM names new deputy in reshuffle

SINGAPORE (AFP) - - Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday named a new deputy as part of a cabinet reshuffle that comes as the trade-reliant city-state tackles a deep recession.
Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean will become one of two deputy prime ministers on April 1 alongside the veteran Wong Kan Seng, who also serves as the home affairs minister in charge of internal security, Lee's office said.
S. Jayakumar, a former foreign minister, was shifted from deputy prime minister to the post of senior minister alongside Goh Chok Tong, the city-state's former prime minister, the official statement said.
In Singapore's political system, senior ministers serve as key advisers to the cabinet.
Lee Kuan Yew, the republic's founding prime minister, holds the unique title of "minister mentor" in his son's cabinet.
"These changes are part of continuing leadership renewal and testing out of younger office-holders for broader responsibilities," the statement said.
Singapore became the first Asian economy to slip into recession last year, and gross domestic product is expected to shrink by as much as 5.0 percent this year, according to official projections.
Such a drop in GDP would plunge Singapore into its worst recession since independence in 1965.

在法院审理时，徐有芝虽对检察机关指控的事实没有异议，但认为自己以明显低于市场价格买房是正常的投资行为，甚至对收受旅游费等收钱方式也认为“很正常”，不构成受贿犯罪。
兰溪市法院经审理查明，１９９６年９月，徐有芝利用担任兰溪市粮食局局长的职务便利，在下属单位土建工程承包商处以６万元价格购买价值９．１８万元的一套住宅。１９９９年１０月，身为局长的徐有芝又以明显低于市场的价格向下属粮管所以２５万元的价格购得一处价值４１万余元的营业房，以“协议”方式非法收受１６５３７２元的国有资产，且在购买该房付款中收受他人以转账支票形式贿赂６万元。法院均认定为典型的“交易型”受贿。
此外，法院还查明，２００１年，徐有芝接受下属单位在建工程承包商安排的旅游费为３０００余元的韩国旅游和收受１０００美元；１９９５年至２００７年间，徐有芝以逢年过节和家中红白喜事等为由，收受多名请托人所送人民币７万元，也都被认定为受贿。对徐有芝逢年过节收受的礼金礼卡８０００元，法院认为是非法所得依法给予没收。据此，法院作出上述一审判决。一审判决后，徐有芝没有上诉，２２日判决生效。

SINGAPORE : The Singapore government has been embracing and even adopting new media for its work.

And while it is still some way from fully tapping the potential, the government said it will gradually evolve its policies with a light touch, as the Web2.0 revolution constantly throws up new challenges.

Singapore is the most wired city in the world. And according to a survey, young Singaporeans aged 15 to 24 spend an average of eight-and-a-half hours a day being connected.

And the government has been using new media outlets such as Facebook, YouTube and forums to hook up with citizens.

Another new media outlet is the OnePeople Portal.

The online resource on racial harmony was launched by the Community Development, Youth and Sports Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on Saturday.

While the government is gradually liberalising its approach towards online engagement with its citizens, the minister added that one has to be responsible and careful when posting their thoughts online."

Dr Balakrishnan said: "Anonymity in cyberspace is an illusion. You will remember in 2007, we prosecuted three persons under the Sedition Act because of the blogs they put up which denigrated the religion of one of our communities in Singapore.

"The reason we did that was to send the message that your words have an impact; if need be, we can identify you, and if we have to, we will be prepared to prosecute you."

But there are some challenges in the government's use of new media to get public feedback.

Dr Milagros Rivera, member, Advisory Council on the Impact of New Media on Society (AIMS), said: "We expected people to give feedback. Nobody did. I think seven people posted comments on the AIMS website, and then the blogosphere went crazy with all kinds of comments and discussions about New Media.

"You can have a very nice welcoming website for the government to give feedback. If people are not comfortable they will just stay in their little forums and in their blogs and they will do their thing."

And there is no doubt more challenges will crop up as cyberspace continues to evolve and change the way people communicate with one another. - CNA/ms

Uniquely Singapore, this isn't the 1st time.

Thick-Sink-Wong drew another few million dollars of WORLD CLASS salaries, since he refused to resign. Mas Selamat Ke-Lari fled his maximum security ISD Whitley Road Detention Center for nearly one whole year. Million dollar award and dozens of million dollar spent in man-hunt resulted in Wong Kan Seng talking more Ironical Rubbish.

Wong's imbecilic answer to the press: Either Mas Selamat is still hiding in Singapore or had fled Singapore.

The next day after his wise statement, a 73 year old grandma was reported to have returned to Singapore from Malaysia where she was lost for nearly one week WITHOUT HER PASSPORT!

The grandma was found alone in her confusion state, trying to sleep in the middle of road divider and was then discovered by a driver who had the security guard near by sent her to the police. He family members fetched her back from Tanglin Police Station.

Tok Leng How the executed convict of Huang Na also left Singapore without his passport. He returned to Malaysia when his passport was detained by Singapore police as he was a murder suspect. He later surrendered to Malaysia police and was extradicted back to Singapore before he was convicted and excuted. How did Tok who was determinded by IMH doctors to have abnormally low IQ past ICA checkpoint without his passport? Is ICA's average IQ lower then that of Tok?

Tan Chor Jin who was known as the "one-eyed dragon" is the other executed murder convict who had fled past ICA to Malaysia when he was wanted by Singapore. The ICA did not managed to stop him, and he fled successfully past ICA to Malaysia with his fellow gangsters, and together they were later arrested by Malaysian Police, before extradiction to Singapore.

A Singaporean man last year managed to pass through Singapore Changi Airport's ICA to reach Vietnam with only the passport belonging to his 12 year old son. Vietnam immigration discovered that he was holding wrong passport, but the Singaporean ICA did not find anything wrong, and let this man past.

I personally know another case of 2 Malaysian brothers, who came together from Malaysia to attend a funeral which I was also attending. The elder brother is nearly 10 years older then the younger, and the younger brother is fat man with fair skin, the elder is taller darker skin and slim. As they entered Woodlands ICA checkpoint into Singapore from Malaysia, they had accidentally switched their passports after the passports were returned to them at ICA check point. So they were each carrying wrong the passport belonging to their brother instead of their own. After funeral was over, the 2 Malaysian brothers each made their separated ways back to Malaysia. THEY BOTH PAST SINGAPOREAN ICA SUCCESSFULLY WITH WRONG PASSPORTS. The elder brother was shocked at Johore custom to find that he was carring wrong passport, and called the other brother who was still unknowingly holding wrong passport, he received this call after he already CLEARED Singaporean ICA Woodlands Check Point!

A 73-YEAR-OLD Singapore grandmother who went missing while on a family holiday in Genting Highlands triggered a frantic search for her there.
But her family says the immigration authorities' arrival records indicate that she had somehow made her way back here on Sunday - without her bus ticket or her passport and with less than $20 on her.
The twist to the tale: Madam Voon Choot Yin, who has mild dementia and suffers from depression, is still missing - right here on home turf. The family's desperate search for her is now trained on Toa Payoh, where she lived by herself before moving in with her son three months ago, when her memory started failing.
She had arrived at the popular Malaysian hill resort last Thursday with her son, his wife, their two grown-up daughters and his mother-in-law. The family checked into the First World Hotel.
The last time they saw the bespectacled grandmother was the following day, when they visited the casino.
Three members of the family returned to Singapore last Saturday. Two of them - Madam Voon's granddaughter, Ms Susan Koh, 29, and her mother, who wanted to be known only as Mrs Koh - stayed behind in case she showed up there.
The family said it got news on Tuesday from the Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur that Madam Voon had returned to Singapore on Sunday.
When contacted, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) would only say that it is possible, under special circumstances, for Singapore citizens to re-enter the country without travel documents.
'Singapore citizens have the right of entry into Singapore. The ICA will first establish the citizenship status of the person and if we are satisfied he or she has not lost the status, we will accord the necessary clearance for entry,' said an ICA spokesman.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also declined to say much, but said it was helping the family on the matter.
Yesterday, Ms Koh and her mother returned home.
Ms Koh said all Madam Voon had on her was a shoulder bag with less than $20 in it, her senior citizens' ez-link card and what she was wearing - a black blouse, dark pants and sandals.
Mrs Koh said she, her mother and her husband were in the casino with Madam Voon last Friday. The older woman had a go at the jackpot machines. When Mrs Koh, a 54-year-old housewife, wanted to use the washroom at about 3pm, she offered to take Madam Voon as well, but the elderly woman said she did not need to go.
When Mrs Koh returned, however, her husband said his mother had gone to the washroom. But Madam Voon was in neither of the casino's two female toilets.
The family alerted the resort management, lodged a report with the Malaysian police and turned to the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) for help. They also combed the resort. The family contacted the Foreign Ministry here last Saturday.
The MCA told The Straits Times that since the incident made the Malaysian newspapers yesterday, three people had called to say they had seen Madam Voon.
A spokesman said two claimed they saw a woman matching the description walking along a road from Genting Highlands towards the nearby town of Bukit Tinggi last Friday at 5pm; another caller said she boarded a Bukit Tinggi-to-Kuala Lumpur bus on Sunday morning.
The family has lodged a missing person's report with the police here.
Ms Koh said: 'It's been a nightmare. All I want is for my grandma to be home safe.'

This began when Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew's son took over from Goh Chok Tong, when Singaporeans were leaving this red dot to get out of famiLEE LEEgime in a massive scale. Goh had called them the Quitters.

At that time, Singapore's population was on reduction. The famiLEE LEEgime acknowledged that there were insufficient citizens serving NSF to fill up the man power requirements of SAF & SPF. More over the baby birth rate was low and marriage age & rate were going against the favor of famiLEE LEEgime, besides lots of Singaporeans quited from famiLEE LEEgime and dodged NS.

Then came Old Dog Thief Lee Kuan Yew's Ass Loong Son the clown-prince as PM.

The famiLEE LEEgime then wanted to have 6.5 million population level from the 3.8 or 4 million level. This was the beginning of famiLEE LEEgime's Citizenship Cleansing Program.

They are never successful in reducing the number of Quitters, nor raised the birth rate to desirable level. The notoriously corrupted and incompetent famiLEE LEEgime fulfill their own political ego and dream of 6.5 million population level by massive scheme to introduce foreign population into the country as residents and citizens both. Most of these had been viewed by the majority as their notorious FT Policy.

Today is 1.1.2009, on the New Year Day, I want to point out that it is not to be viewed just as FT policy but rather a massive audacious and STUPID Citizenship Cleansing Program. Uniquely Singapore.

By nature it is also another form of Ethnic Cleansing by the famiLEE LEEgime, but difference is in the ADDITIVE nature instead of the usual SUBTRACTIVE nature of most other Ethnic Cleansing programs. Instead of killing existing population, this cleansing is done by introducing foreign population instead, on a tiny island of tiny population, adding millions of foreigner achieved the same effect of Ethnic Cleansing.

On top of the existing 3 to 4 million citizens, the famiLEE LEEgime raced toward 6.5 million by rapidly and recklessly mass importing several more millions of foreign citizens. The net effect of this is a CITIZENSHIP CLEANSING.

There should be no doubt about this.

We must not just simply view this as a Foreign Talent program or policy, and we must properly recognize the full effects and PROPORTION as well as SCALE of it. We must also name it correctly before we begin to address this issue.

I insist that it is a Citizenship Cleansing Program.

In the coming months I will write and talk more about it. NY2009 is my launching date for this campaign against famiLEE LEEgime. :-)

They will simply not allow any Fair; Equal; Just; Wise; Righteous & Brave decisions & policies to take place.

Because democracy is equal & symmetrical system, it does not distinguish good nor bad people and every one share equal power. When the majority are simply bastard, than a bastard government will be elected to carry all the bastard policy. When the majority people are simply foolish, then foolish governance & policies will surely result.

The result of dictatorship largely depending on the dictator who has power in hand, dictators are not necessary all bad in my view. In the hand of a smart dictator smart decisions will be forcefully imposed, in the case of a dumb dictator dumb shits will be imposed. In the hands of strong dictators the nation will exhibit powerful national strength like ex-Soviet. Dictatorship impose policy by force against people's will, majority will be unhappy. But if the dictators were smart and strong, they will force the people to contribute to a strong nation that would be otherwise impossible. That is why dictatorship nations to be miraculously strong or screwed up are common.

Singapore used to be a positive example of dictatorship that cause this red dot to develop fast miraculously, but that positive cycle is already over and red dot is miraculously fast sinking these days.

Hitler and Saddam are other examples that the 2 tyrants showed miraculous success in gaining national strength within very short time, industrial & military power built up strong and quickly under dictators, posing threats to many. Then the dictator went into stupid phase and made big mistakes and then finished themselves with the once very strong and capable nation. LKy old dog thief is much smaller time, but similar in phase and cycle of dictatorship. LEEgime is finishing soon.

I want to impose brutal hell on famiLEE LEEgime bastards, to be honest that can not be done democratically, and thus I see democracy & human rights as burdens, because they will hinder the punishment of bastards. I will not entirely reject these noble ideas, but in my own view they are too idealistic and impractical. We must reform any way, out of the reign of famiLEE LEEgime. I am one who will not blindly measure this reform or any others in terms of democracy level.

Taiwan's Chen Shui Bian is an example. Taiwan is democratic, media is free, court is not Kangaroo like famiLEE LEEgime. Election is much fairer. People have more rights. But still, when people learn that the president is corrupted (democratic president - Ah Bian who overthrow KMT dictatorship! ) what could the court and people do? Ah Bian's old comrade 施明德 led millions of protesters in red-shirt anti-corrupt movement and fought so hard with so much resources and efforts - could not remove the corrupted & democratic ChenShuiBian. Currently under KMT's MaYingJiu again, they started to nail ChenShuiBian, but in ways that people see as oppressive and dictatorial law suits.

It shows that democratic system has lots of flaws and weakness and it is not strength.

Another example will be Obama, but I hate to tell it too soon.

Obama is elected by many millions of poorer people, they donated their tiny lunch money from their poor families and voted Obama in. They call this the Democratic Strength - yes very touching. However I see it mostly as Democratic Weakness rather than strength because these millions & million of supporters of Obama are mostly his liabilities instead of strength.

These supporters put in their tiny lunch monies, and votes, and cried on polling day to see Obama won. To them this is hope and victory - yes. But how is Obama going to deliver their hope and fulfillments? Can these people give Obamba more resources? More lunch monies & votes? No! I think these people believe that they won Lotto or ToTo, they thought they strike big with their tiny lunch money! They are now sitting down awaiting for Obama to save them & deliver them with security; jobs; joy; wealth; comfort; pride; safety etc. They are mostly doing nothing much to help Obama, they now want Obama to help them instead. Therefore I see these as Obama's huge liabilities instead of strength. That is why I said can not congratulate Obama.

These millions and millions of poor people have families and other big burdens, they can not afford to even come out to help to do volunteer works for Obama for few hours a day, they are just waiting for Obama to make life better for them. All they bet on Obama is $10 or $50 whatever tiny donations they could afford plus their vote on the ballot.

It is a touching change and I acknowledge that the political culture is very different from all previous presidential elections. It is a miracle itself that a black man had been elected as president for very 1st time in USA, however this miracle itself is a liability because people are then expecting this president to deliver more miracles in their favor - to EACH a different and in over-all conflicting angles they want these miracles.

When one voter's dream is fulfilled the others are disappointed and pissed.

The campaign and election may be very touching and motivating, but in reality after all these campaigns I can only see a huge pile of democratic weakness and burdens, there is too little resources and strength to fulfill the huge expectations & responsibilities.

Compared to Bush when the moron was initially elected, Bush had lots of real strength and resources pledged behind him to support him. Due to 911. Hundred over nations were allied with that moron, Republicans Democrats and neutral Americans were willing to get armed and put on combat uniforms to die on the order of this moronic Commander In Chief, Congress & Senate were fully supportive, tax payers' finance and resources were strong then, & soldier & generals were willing and loyal then. Moron Bush screwed all these up 100% - that is beside the point. The point is comparing to Obama, Bush actually had more practical strength and resources right from the start. Obama now have too much liabilities & burdens thanks to Bush & his millions & millions of voters. There is very little practical strength & resources left for Obama to fulfill a whole lot of big dreams and high hopes. I can not congratulate him for what he is in.

So yes it is democracy, but no, that is not strength in my view.

When I assisted SDP in GE2006, I also manged to motivate crowds of poorer Singaporeans, who support SDP with their S$2 per copy New Democrats. Yes I am proud but no I don't really see these as true solid reliable political strength - more like liabilities & burdens. The famiLEE LEEgime gave S$1000 progress package & what happened?

What the Thais had show the world the rather is more solid strength and courage as well as commitments. They are willing to pay price and get the CHANGE they want. If Singaporeans had such quality and balls, I will be most happy to motivate help them. I will be more proud and comfortable to fight together with this kind of people. I still thank the Singaporean peasant who came to cheer for my speech and donated to SDP, but I tell you that is far from enough! You have to look at the Thais, they are more realistic and practical. They paid their prices, they reach out their own forceful hands and they are very sure of what they want. Opposition should call MPs to Resign over Town Councils' Bond Losses

Since it became clear now that multiple town councils had lost billions of dollars of towns' funds into investments with bonds etc. I think it is time for oppositions to call for the resignation of the relevant MPs responsible for managing their town councils, to take responsibilities for these huge losses suffered by residents of these towns. Such acceptance of responsibilities is only proper and setting good examples for the future, please show to the world a Leadership by Accepting Responsibilities entrusted and vest by voters. Weather or not these MPs had walked-over.

I suggest hereby to opposition parties & political groups to make such resignation calls to these MPs holding responsibilities of lost town councils' funds. If we could see unanimous call from opposition in this aspect than indeed Singapore is one step closer to what the Malaysian opposition had achieved.

Weather there is a non-Chinese PM for Singapore it will not make a big significant meaning, however the 1st non-LEEgime, non-PAp PM will be very very significant in Singapore's history. It will be a brand new start, it will be a brand new dawn, it will be a brand new BOOK instead of just PAGE. It will be a very important historic marker for Singapore.
